If you’re the one everyone turns to when things fall apart — the calm voice in the chaos, the steady hands, the fixer — this one’s for you.
In healthcare, there’s often an unspoken pressure to “be the strong one.” To hold it together, no matter what. To take on extra shifts. To support your team. To reassure patients and families. To stay composed when things go sideways. You do it because you care. Because you’re good at it. Because people count on you.
But here’s the truth: even the strong ones get tired.
And too often, no one notices until it’s too late — not because they don’t care, but because you’ve made it look easy for so long.
Being the strong one doesn’t mean you don’t struggle. It means you’ve just learned how to carry it quietly.
So this is your reminder:
You’re allowed to ask for help.
You’re allowed to not be okay.
You’re allowed to be human.
Strength isn’t about never breaking. It’s about knowing when to stop carrying the weight alone.
Take a moment to check in on someone you know that's “fine.”
Especially in healthcare — where being strong is often mistaken for being invincible. We see you. Coffee's on.
