Up first with our ℕ𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕝 ℂ𝕒𝕥 𝕃𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕣'𝕤 𝕄𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕙 features, in a delayed post, is a face you've all come to know... Clive!

Clive came to the Valley Vet family in the fall of 2019. We adopted him from Cat's Cradle after meeting him when he was in for an exam and some vaccine updating. Since then he's had his run of the clinic. We love his spunky, and often mischievous, personality. Clive likes to keep our staff on their toes by ripping into unattended food bags, hiding on top of the staff lounge cupboards, and screaming his demands for snacks and attention. He's also been a wonderful support for staff when they have a tough day and just need a little breather to give him some scratches and pats. If you're lucky he may even snuggle with you on your lunch break (though we're 99% certain he has an a ulterior motive to try and get some of your lunch...). He sure does put up with a lot from us!

Deposits collected will be placed on a client's account as credits, and will be deducted from appointment invoice totals.

- I would say there is no typical day. Some days we're on surgeries or dentals, other days we might take appointments or be in the lab. We fill a lot of medications, take radiographs, and communicate with owners. There are two constants: blood draws and cuddles.

- It is busy and has a lot of variety, which makes it very exciting! From prepping for surgeries, drawing blood, running lab work, taking radiographs, to educating owners and helping them and their pets every step of the way - being a veterinary technician is busy work, but it is very rewarding and fulfilling. I couldn't see myself doing anything else! :)

What is your favorite type of Halloween candy?🍬🍫
- Twix, Butterfingers, and anything gummy!

Who do you most admire in your life?
- My mom

If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
- My grandpa, so I could see and speak with him one more time and ask all the questions I didn't get to before he passed.

- I enjoy spending time with my cats and significant other, my family and close friends. I love to be outside/go hiking if weather permits!

There really is no such thing as a typical day as a vet tech. Each day is as varied and special as the animals we care for. Even “typical” tasks can vary greatly due to each animal’s unique personality. I would say technicians are the Swiss army knives of the Veterinary world.

Who do you most admire in your life?
- My parents

- John Williams, big fan of his musical compositions
