It was an honor and privilege for CHI Health at Home – Bismarck We Honor Veterans to award Vernon R. his Quilt of Honor during his Veteran Pinning ceremony. Honored to assist in his wrapping were his son Steve R and his nephew Kenneth S.

Vernon enlisted in the North Dakota Army National Guard in 1947, where he continued until January 1951 when he was drafted into the United States Army. After being drafted, he was sent to Fort Rucker, AL. Vernon was a natural working on engines while growing up on the family farm, which led him to work as a mechanic in the unit’s motor pool. Vernon’s daily routine included upkeep and repairs on the fleet of Jeeps, trucks and other vehicles on the base. Vernon was honorably discharged in May 1952. His rank at discharge was Corporal and his MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) was Artillery and Mechanic. He is a member of American Legion – ND Post 0133 Wishek, ND.

Vernon is very proud of his military service. Despite not serving overseas when drafted during the Korean War, Vernon did his duty to keep the war’s machinery running. He is very proud of his 2 sons following in his military footsteps.

“Vernon, on behalf of the United States and CHI Health at Home – Bismarck We Honor Veterans program, thank you for your service!”

CHI Health at Home - Dickinson had the honor and privilege to administer a We Honor Veteran pinning and Quilts of Valor ceremony for Robert L. The event was heartfelt and touching. His beautiful quilt was made by the Perham, MN, Quilts of Valor group.

🩵 Serving with Heart at the Upper Missouri Fair 🩵

Last week, our CHI Health at Home - Williston team had the privilege of volunteering at the Upper Missouri Valley Fair - and we called our efforts "Serving with Heart."

In the evenings, our team helped out in the fair office by answering phones, distributing tickets, answering questions, and most importantly - serving with smiles and heart. ☺️

Through this service, we helped raise funds for hospice care, supporting comfort and dignity for those at life's most tender moments. We're proud to give back to our community in meaningful ways.

Thank you to the Upper Missouri Valley Fair for the opportunity to serve and raise funds for our local hospice!

🤠 Hoedown for Hospice - A Lunchtime to Remember! ✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for the 7th Annual Hoedown for Hospice - what an amazing afternoon! ♥️

It was the perfect way to spend lunch: delicious food, bouncy houses, a lovable petting zoo, and creamy ice cream perfection from Hatlee & Brae! 🏰 🍔 🍦

We were treated to incredible live performances by the Burning Hills Singers and the Dennis Paulson band, adding just the right rhythm to a fun-filled day. 🎶 🐴

This event was a huge success - and it couldn't have happened without the support of our generous sponsors, hardworking volunteers, and our wonderful community. THANK YOU! 🙏

Every smile and every dollar raised helps us continue providing compassionate hospice care. 💛
