Yesterday the governor stated that personal care services, like mine, could open on Friday with certain guidelines in place.

Today we find out what guidelines to follow in order to open.

As governors are trying to figure out how to ease back in to a new normal, please remember:

🛑 Some people don’t agree with the state opening.... that’s okay. Be kind.

🏡 Some people are still planning to stay home.... that’s okay. Be kind.

🦠 Some are still scared of getting the virus and a second wave happening....that’s okay. Be kind.

💰 Some are sighing with relief to go back to work knowing they may not lose their business or their homes....that’s okay. Be kind.

👩🏾‍⚕️Some are thankful they can finally have a surgery they have put off....that’s okay. Be kind.

📝 Some will be able to attend interviews after weeks without a job....that’s okay. Be kind.

😷 Some will wear masks for weeks....that’s okay. Be kind.

💅🏻 Some people will rush out to get the hair or nails done.... that’s okay. Be kind.

❤️ The point is, everyone has different viewpoints/feelings and that’s okay. Be kind.

We each have a different story. If you need to stay home, stay home. But be kind.

If you need to go out, just respect others when in public and be kind!

Don’t judge fellow humans because you’re not in their story. We all are in different mental states than we were months ago. So remember, be kind.

As of now;
We will continue to remain open. There may be some need to make schedule adjustments, please be patient with your provider as they make judgment calls to serve in the best interest of you, your families, as well as theirs during this time.
You may be receiving a call/text/email from our staff to go over a few questions, or information regarding your scheduled appointment.
We ask that if you have a cough, shortness of breath, cold, signs of upper respiratory tract infection, or a fever to stay home.
Attending your appointment, you will be asked to:
-Wash your hands
-Please avoid touching non - essential items.
-May take your temperature

We will waive any cancellation fees, please let us know as soon as possible if you will not make your scheduled appointment; Appointment no show charges may be subject to regular policy. Any questions, please don't hesitate to call the office!

In response to growing concerns.....
I understand that the coronavirus is spreading across the world, is coming closer to home and that for certain populations and individuals outside of those populations the virus is dangerous and possibly deadly.

My approach to dealing with the coronavirus & any other viral issue is to do what I have always done.

1) As a massage therapist I obsessively wash my hands & arms with soap & warm water and I will continue to do that. I do this for many reasons, not the least of which is that I touch people a lot, a lot, a lot.

2) I am going to personally address touching my face. I dislike having the oil/lotion/cream/anything else I may have on my hands from a client on my face. This means that I have basically trained myself to deal with the occasional nose/face itch by ignoring it. I can only speak for myself in this and would hope that the people around me would follow suit and not excessively touch their face.

3) I will and have always encouraged clients who are sick in any way to reschedule their appointment with me. I also send sick clients home. As I deal with viruses, infections, the flu, etc on a regular basis, this has always been my policy. I will reschedule a service if I am also sick in any way. I like to share, but I don’t prefer to share my sick nor do I want you to share yours.

I will continue to clean my massage space & office as I always have with an increased concentration on sanitizing frequently touched surfaces.

Keep healthy by: washing your hands, limit touching your face, drink plenty of water, get adequate rest. I care about our health & safety first.
