Fun facts about our muscular system!

1. Our muscular system is what allows our body’s to move. Even the smallest of movements like smiling and the big movements such as running or throwing.

2. The hardest working muscle in the body is of course the heart. It pumps about 2,500 gallons of blood!

3. Most of the heat produced in your body comes from muscle contraction. Our muscles produce up to about 85% of body heat 😱!

4. Some of your busiest muscles are those controlling eye movements. In an hour of reading, your eyes may make as many as 10,000 coordinated movements.

5. Muscles can’t push. They can only pull. When a muscle is contracted, it shortens and “pulls” on a bone. There is no way for that same muscle to “push” the bone back again into the starting position.

I can’t believe I have to post something like this yet again. But I guess new year so here we go.

I do NOT offer “happy endings”, Nuru “massage”, body “rub” methods, or any other sexually explicit, inappropriate behavior in my business practices. I don’t appreciate or tolerate anyone who has the audacity to treat myself or any other licensed massage therapist this way. It is 2025, do better!
