What IS Active Release Techniques Treatment?
If we had to guess, you've likely asked yourself that question at least once since hearing about ART. So, let us introduce you to ART treatment, the Gold Standard in Soft-Tissue Care. ART treatment is a non-invasive system precisely engineered to locate and quickly resolve soft-tissue disorders in muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments, and fascia.
How Treatment Works:
1. Identify aberrations in tissue texture, tension, movement, and function through palpation and test movement.
2. Target dysfunction by isolating the structure and utilizing one or more ART treatment protocols, combining precise touch and tension with specific patient movement.

To maintain certification, an ART provider must re-certify yearly. Make sure your provider is current!
Did you know....Dr. Maloy has been a certified ART provider since 2008? She holds 11 ART certifications and is an ART instructor, teaching the technique to other doctors and providers around the country.

Home office situation have you rubbing your sore shoulders? Just a few tips can be very helpful...
• Get up often, take a break, stretch, fold laundry, let the dog out, whatever.
• Use your armrests! Most people use the muscles in their upper back/shoulders to keep their arms lifted off the armrests, so go ahead and use them.
• The top of your monitor should be at eye level and about an arm’s length away from you.
• Drink more water! Then you’ll have to go to the bathroom. Now you’ve accomplished step 1 without even trying!
• Consider a standing desk, especially one that will allow you to either sit or stand. It’s probably cheaper than the chiropractor!
