Western Maine Area Health Education Center Encourage Maine youth and mid-career professionals to explore health careers.

The Maine AHEC Network has been working since 1985 to improve the supply, distribution, and diversity of healthcare providers in Maine’s rural and underserved areas. AHEC (Area Health Education Center) supports that effort by working with academic and community partners to:

Provide rural, community-based clinical training experiences for medical and other health professions' students. Support practicing health professionals with continuing education and distance learning opportunities.

Dropped off the blankets made by our Scrub Club Campers this morning! Thanks to you and your hard work, 25 of the residents at Edgewood will enjoy new lap blankets and dozens of cards when they return to their home after the fire! Shellie, the Activities Director was very impressed with what you accomplished!

We had such an amazing turnout this week for Scrub Club held at Franklin Memorial Hospital! Everyone had a blast interacting with countless staff from within the hospital, as well as health care professionals from all over Maine. Check out some photos of the great simulations the campers got to partake in this week!
