Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach known for success in treating individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder & other developmental disabilities. What we do:
Behavior Learning Tree is dedicated to empowering children with Autism or developmental disabilities to reach their full potential by providing them and their families with a toolbox of techniques to help with social,
adaptive, and communication skills. We will create a team concept with the client, client’s family, school, medical providers, and staff where we will work collaboratively to identify priority areas to work on first. Individualized person centered treatment packages will be developed, and progress will be measured to allow for adjustments as needed. Therapy sessions are conducted 1:1 ratio and opportunities for
group learning activities will be utilized by using evidence-based Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy by qualified and trained professionals. Behavior Learning Tree will promote a safe, fun, play-based, and kind environment for clients to learn and grow. We believe that the most effective interventions are driven by ones that tap into a person’s interests during play or working towards what is motivating. We will conduct preference assessments throughout treatment phases to ensure we are providing the most rewarding and positive environment conducive to fun and learning. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the use of evidence-based techniques and principles to bring about meaningful and positive change in behavior. Applied Behavior Analysis is the science that studies why people behave the way they do and is data driven. Data is taken to create individualized treatment programs with a focus on ABA interventions to improve the child's excesses and deficits. ABA-based therapy and treatment use the basic principals of behavior analysis to change and improve the quality of lives of its consumers. Board Certified Behavior Analysts or Licensed Clinicians set individualized goals and measure outcomes to ensure goals are met. Goals are individualized and will look different depending on the needs of the consumer. Goals may include:
• Communication skills
• Social skills
• Reducing problematic behavior
• Coping with frustration/calming strategies
• Increasing adaptive independent daily living skills
• Play skills
ABA can be implemented in the home, clinic, school, workplace, or the community; however, at Behavior Learning Tree our focus is clinic-based treatment programs. Our Vision Statement:
