Hot damn!!! Last therapy session before my surgery Monday. Matt got in there good!! Absolutely looks how it felt!!! Thankfully, I know how much good it does. Got a good adjustment, too! Matt also got after my adductors because my right knee is bothering me. Have to use the next few days to work my shoulders, glutes, and thighs with the resistance bands. Cancer recovery is absolutely disgusting. 100% do not recommend.

Look at my mastectomy site!!! First picture is from today. I've been getting cupped weekly for a couple months or so. I am so pleased with how my tissues are responding. This is good news for reconstruction options. Added a few other pictures to see then and now! The last picture is shortly after my explant in February.

IYKYK!!! Met with my radiation oncologist today and got my marks. I've got a few more on the right side. Radiation starts May 6 and I ONLY NEED 16 TREATMENTS!!!! I am beyond words to hear this news! I was expecting at least twice that amount!!

Here I am y'all!!! This is whatever my hair is!!! Ha!! I have no idea what color it is, but I do know it's growing lopsided, like a toddler, and kinda mohawk-ish. Reminds me of Ellie's hair when she was a baby---she got her first haircut at age 2 and had a fro-hawk with her curls!! Ha!! Oh, yeah, my hair isn't the only thing that's lopsided!! Bhahahaha

Finished the ridiculous amount of antibiotics I had to take yesterday. Got the stitches removed today from my emergent surgery on the 15th. Also got most of the restrictions lifted!! Yay!! But (and there's always a but), I'll be right back into the restrictions and taking pain pills come Monday when I have the axillary node dissection. Boo!! Should've not been going to the doctor every week, yet here we are, every week. Completely exhausting and I'm not the one driving!! My husband has been carting me to all these appointments and some days, like today, he spends all day in the car--bless him!

Surgery went well yesterday. I'm sore and uncomfortable, as expected. Thank you so much for prayers and messages. I'll be journaling on here about my recovery with pictures and all the things. Part 2 of my cancer journey has begun! 🩷

Donated items were take with me to chemo at Duke Women's Cancer Center at Macon Pond. I brought a bin and these lovely cancer fighters were able to pick a piece. Just a small way I can give back!
