Is the refrain the Giant says in the fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk.
In all fairy tales there is an expression of anger. One character holds it, demonstrates it.
And it's usually the scary one
The evil stepmother
And so we learn to push our anger down because we don't want to be those characters.
But really the tales are a whole person.
You are the Knight in shining armour.
You are the Princess in the tower
You are the fairy Godmother
You are the lost child
You are the angry Giant.
And I am all these things too.
I was raised not to show anger. My anger was judged and judged as bad.
When I first started to find my way into my body to express it I didn't know how. I didn't know how to do it safely.
I was on one end of the pendulum and shot to the other.
Here in the equinox I'm allowing myself to dance to the beat of the
Fe Fi Fo fum!
To allow all of me to be,
to rise in grace
to rise in fury
you transmute it all.

Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
So many people are running around right now trying to mask their pain from trauma they've endured, often covert in nature so never really getting addressed as they force their way through the days trying to function as whole people.
There is nothing wrong in wanting to get your needs met and heal from what was done to you. You deserve respect and you deserve to heal and feel whole. Your trauma, no matter how "big" or "small", is valid!
The inability to receive support from others is a trauma response.
Your “I don’t need anyone, I’ll just do it all myself” conditioning is a survival tactic. You needed it to shield your tender heart from abuse, neglect, betrayal, and disappointment from those who could not or would not be there for you.
From the parent who was absent by choice or by the circumstance of working three jobs to feed and house you.
From the lovers who offered sexual intimacy but no offered no safe haven that honored your heart.
From the friendships that always took more than they gave.
From all the situations when someone told you “we’re in this together” then abandoned you, leaving you to pick up the pieces when sh*t got real, leaving you to handle your part and their part, too.
From the lies. The betrayals.
You learned along the way that you just couldn’t really trust people. Or that you could trust people, but only up to a certain point.
Ultra-independence is a *trust issue.*
You learned: if I don’t put myself in a situation where I rely on someone, I won’t have to be disappointed when they don’t show up for me, or when they drop the ball... because they will always drop the ball sooner or later, right?
You may even have been intentionally taught this protection strategy by generations of hurt women who came before you.
Ultra-independence is a preemptive strike against heartbreak.
So, you don’t trust anyone.
And you don’t trust yourself, either, to choose people.
To trust is to hope, to trust is vulnerability.
“Never again,” you vowed.
But no matter how you dress it up and display it proudly to make it seem like this level of independence is what you always wanted to be, in truth it’s your wounded, scarred, broken heart behind a protective brick wall.
Impenetrable. Nothing gets in. No hurt gets in. But no love gets in either.
Fortresses and armor are for those in battle, or who believe the battle is coming.
It’s trauma response.
The good news is trauma that is acknowledged is trauma that can be healed.
You are worthy of having support.
You are worthy of having true partnership.
You are worthy of love.
You are worthy of having your heart held.
You are worthy to be adored.
You are worthy to be cherished.
You are worthy to have someone say, “You rest. I got this.” And actually deliver on that promise.
You are worthy to receive.
You are worthy to receive.
You are worthy to receive.
You are worthy.
You are worthy.
You don’t have to earn it.
You don’t have to prove it.
You don’t have to bargain for it.
You don’t have to beg for it.
You are worthy.
Simply because you exist.

🌹🌹I saw the below posted in a group that I belong. It resonated with me. I was a single parent raising 2 children, had a business to run and belonged to several organizations. I was an “independent woman”. But I was also the woman who was shielding my heart from the abuse and betrayal of past relationships. Until I started to love and think of myself as worthy, things did not change. Today I am at peace and I know that I am worthy of love, good relationships, abundance and prosperity. It was quite the journey to arrive here but well worth it.

Today’s topic is Earthing or Grounding.
The Healing Benefits of Earthing
The Earth is like a gigantic battery that contains a natural, subtle electrical charge—a special kind of energy present in the ground. For safety and stability, most everything in the electrical world is connected to it, whether it is an electric power plant or your refrigerator. That’s what the term “grounded” means.
Being grounded also applies to people. When you are electrically grounded, you feel:
• Less tense
• Less stressed
Overall, you feel good. If you have pain, you have less of it, or maybe none at all, when grounded.
Losing Touch with the Ground
You are a bioelectrical being living on an electrical planet. Your body operates electrically. All of your cells transmit multiple frequencies that run, for example, your heart, immune system, muscles, and nervous system.
With the exception of humans living in industrialized societies, all living things on our planet are connected to the ground’s electric energy. In industrialized societies, you rarely go barefoot and walk around outside or wear natural leather shoes that allow you to absorb the ground’s energy. For many decades, people have increasingly been wearing rubber and plastic-soled shoes that act as a barrier to the Earth’s energy, insulating them from electrical contact with the Earth. People also generally don’t sleep on the ground anymore, as many cultures have done throughout history. They live and work above the ground, even far above the ground in high-rises.
The truth is, you’re disconnected. You’re ungrounded. You are not in touch with the Earth. Could this disconnection be an overlooked factor in the increase of illnesses?
Many people live with daily pain and constant stress, anxiety, depression, and fatigue. They feel out-of-sorts--not centered, strong, or solid. Doctors often can’t find the cause and resort to prescribing medications that produce side effects like fatigue, poor mood, gastro-intestinal upset, and headaches.
There has been an increase in the number of people suffering from autoimmune diseases. Fifty million people in the U.S are suffering from diseases including:
• Multiple sclerosis
• Inflammatory bowel disorders
• Rheumatoid arthritis
Researchers don’t know the specific causes behind the steep increases in a diversity of illnesses. Some say it is because people are eating more unnatural foods than ever and that the ingredients in these foods could be harmful.
While certain lifestyle approaches such as meditation and yoga can help, there are limitations to their effectiveness for many of these illnesses.
Benefits of Earthing & Grounding
According to emerging research, earthing may be beneficial in:
🌍Reducing chronic pain
🌏Improved sleep (I can vouch strongly for this!)
🌎Increasing Energy (I noticed this also)
🌍Lowering stress and promoting calmness by reducing stress hormones. (Another thing I noticed)
🌏Normalizing biological rhythms including circadian rhythm
🌎Normalizing blood pressure and blood flow
🌍Relieving muscle tension and headache (I noticed this)
🌏Improving menstrual and female hormone symptoms
🌎Speeds healing- used in some places to prevent bed sores
🌍Reducing jet lag
🌏Protecting the body from effects of EMFs
🌎Shortening recovery time from injury or athletic activity
🌏Helping support adrenal health.
How can you practice it?
All you have to do is make direct skin contact with soil (or another conductive surface that’s also in direct contact with the earth). The simplest strategy for grounding is to slip off your shoes and take a stroll outside, whether it’s in your grassy backyard, a beach, or the local park. You can practice grounding with some outdoor meditation, glove-free gardening, barefoot yoga outside, or napping in the grass. Some contact with water, which is a conductor, makes it even more powerful, so try walking in dewy grass or at the beach right at the water’s edge. I know we don’t all live next to the beach, but you can practice it whenever possible!
According to Ayurveda, it teaches us that the five elements found in nature (fire, earth, water, air, and space) are the very same ones that make up our bodies. So it’s no wonder we feel at peace when we’re in nature—the elements inside us match up with those outside of us, thus achieving balance. Hopefully, by now, you’re on board. So with that, I’ll see you outside!
Here is a EARTHING PRACTICE Meditation that you may want to try.
Allow yourself to sit on the Earth and position your tailbone and base of your spine to touch and reconnect to the Earth.
Take a few deep breaths and visualise roots coming out of your Base Chakra and going deep into the core of Mother Earth. This will support you to release the emotions that may come up for you during your meditation.
Stay in this visualisation and continue to set the intent to fully root yourself into Mother Earth, allowing yourself to feel safe, stable and nurtured, allowing Mother Earth to carry your weight and trusting in her support.
Then visualise yourself pulling up energetic nourishment from the Earth through your Root and also through your feet/legs, absorbing this energetic nourishment into your body. This supports a deeper connection to the Earth, as you create more stability and strength in your lower body and supports you to ground and balance your energy and come back into your centre.
Sit in stillness for a few minutes. When you are ready bring awareness back into your body by wiggling your hands and feet. Slowly open your eyes and enjoy a more peaceful feeling.

Today’s Chakra is the last of the 7 main Chakras.
Crown Chakra - Sahasrara
The crown chakra is the seventh chakra and it is at the top of the "chakra ladder" which starts from the root chakra that grounds us on the Earth and progresses upward to the Sahasrara which connects us with the universe and the Divine source of creation.
Sahasrara is located at the crown of the head. The gift of this chakra is experiencing unity and the selfless realization that everything is connected at a fundamental level.
The energy of this chakra allows us to experience mystical oneness with everyone and everything in nature.
There is no intellectual knowing at the level of seventh chakra, but there is serenity, joy, and deep peace about life.
You have a sense of knowing that there is a deeper meaning of life and that there is an order that underlies all of existence.
The "way of the crown chakra" is the way of going beyond the limits of your own ego. It is the way of transcending the ego and knowing that all of creation is interconnected at a fundamental level.
💜7th Chakra - Purple, At the crown of the head. Governs one's spiritual connection, awareness of the Oneness and interconnectedness of all things.
IMBALANCED: Confusion, spiritual skepticism, fear of death, loneliness.

Today’s Chakra is Third Eye Chakra - Ajna:
The Third Eye Chakra transcends time. It is located in the brain, at the brow, above the base of the nose.
The gift of this chakra is seeing - both inner and outer worlds.
The energy of this chakra allows us to experience clear thought as well as gifts of spiritual contemplation and self reflection.
Through the gift of seeing we can internalize the outer world and with symbolic language we can externalize the inner world.
The energy of Ajna allows us to access our inner guidance that comes from the depths of our being. It allows us to cut through illusion and to access deeper truths - to see beyond the mind, beyond the words.
The "way of the third eye" is seeing everything as it is from a point of "witness" or "observer", or from simply being mindful - moment by moment.
It means examining self-limiting ideas and developing wisdom that comes from a perspective that transcends the duality of good or bad, black or white. It means seeing and helping others to see the deeper meanings of the situations in their lives.
Sixth chakra is holistic in nature. When this chakra is fully activated, both hemispheres of the brain function in synchrony. The right hemisphere's creativity and synthetic thinking is integrated and balanced with left hemisphere's logical and analytical thinking.
The Third Eye is not only the seat of wisdom, but also a seat of conscience. This is where you not only see what is going on, but you also know what it means. This is where your sense of justice and your ethics originate.
When your third eye is open, you not only see but you also understand.

How to do Shadow Work.
I love Matt Khan's video on respecting the shadow. He says that whenever you feel your shadow is making itself known, instead of rejecting it, which is usually our way to cope with "bad" feelings, say instead, "I RESPECT YOUR POWER". I started to do this regularly and it did help me feel so much better! Your feelings need to be heard, so please allow yourself the space to process them properly.🙏🏼
The shadow-self is indeed part of who we all are in duality, and this aspect of the self cannot be repressed in shame or it will make itself known in ways that can create suffering for yourself or others. Your shadow-self only needs acknowledgement and acceptance to feel more peaceful and to integrate with the whole. 👥🖤
Spirit wants you to give yourself credit for working so diligently with your 'other half', the part that is so challenging that most people won't even consider facing it!
