Alex Smith is a 13 year-old boy from Elkins, Arkansas. He is an active and fun-loving young man who plays basketball for the Elks. Alex suffers from something called Stage 3 Globlastoma--an advanced stage of a deadly and debilitating form of brain cancer. He is at Children's Hospital in Little Rock as we speak, preparing for an operation that could save his life... while bankrupting his family. Oghma Creative Media is teaming with Fayetteville's ROTC Grill, Clear Sound Solutions, Zaxby's Restaurants of NWA, and a score of local bands to sponsor and host a benefit concert for Alex Smith and his family in their time of need. Come on out and pitch in at "Alex's Show" on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at ROTC Grill from 2 pm to 6 pm. Hosted by West Street Blues Band, ft Josey John, Daniel Parker, Tyler Clark, Richard Burnett, Melonie Nicole, Isayah Warford, Jed, Clampit, Darren Ray, & Jesse Dean & Left of Center

Alex is doing so well. I visited with him yesterday. It had been 10 days since my last visit, and there was so much improvement in his speech and movement. He's pretty hard to keep up with when we walk down the hall. He was able to get a pass yesterday to go to Walmart and out to eat. He was very happy about that. He's going great.
