The Department of Wellness and Health Promotion inspires, motivates and supports student self-exploration about personal health and wellness.

The Department of Wellness and Health Promotion inspires, motivates and supports student self-exploration about personal health and wellness. We offer academic courses, outreach presentations and events, training retreats, peer education, and individual and group coaching to encourage movement along an individual and collective path to wellness at the University of Arkansas. The wellness staff consists of certified health education specialists and certified wellness and health coaches, graduate assistants, and undergraduate peer interns. Our staff is dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential across the holistic dimensions of health; the physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, and vocational. Of primary importance in our work with students is helping them become more adaptive, resilient, and self-responsible to more effectively address personal anxiety and stress. Individual wellness coaching sessions are available on a variety of topics. All individual consultations and educational sessions are confidential. Group presentations for your organization or club are also available. All of our services are proactive and preventive in nature and practice.
