CARE Chiropractic

Welcome to C.A.R.E. Chiropractic! We pride ourselves on providing exceptional chiropractic, acupuncture, functional medicine, and functional rehab to help our patients lead healthy, happy lives.

Doctor Larry Weeks has been in practice in Fayetteville for 24 years. He has spent that time studying all facets of complementary and alternative medicine. He is a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic. Since his graduation his education has been in complementary and alternative medicine. His post-doctoral education is as follows • Fellow status from F.I.C.A.C. • Fellow status from F.A.S.A. • Diplomat status with the A.C.A. • Understudy with Qizhi Gao OMD for 5 years • Understudy for 1 year under Riox Tao OMD. • Certified in the diagnoses and treatment of Chinese Herbal medicine • Certification in Hypnotherapy and studied Qi Gong with Dr. Qizhi Gao and Dr. Wan Su Jian • Certification in the diagnoses and treatment in Western Herbal medicine • Dr. Weeks is certified in Rehabilitation Therapy • Certified in Industrial Consulting and Chiropractic Rehabilitation therapy • Worked extensively in his diplomat in Chiropractic Orthotherapy and Sports Medicine. Dr. Weeks has traveled to many traditional schools in Asia to observe and exchange ideas on philosophy. His latest endeavor in nutrition, he is approaching nutrition the same way that he has approached everything else, with education. We do muscle testing for food allergies, along with nutritional counseling, to insure we are on an anti-inflammatory path way. We have a caring, compassionate, and well trained staff whose interests are in your health. Each and every one of them has healing hands, very energetic Lao Gong (energy emitting) points. The staff also has good Shao Fu (heart) energy. We are structural, chemical, electrical, and spiritual. Our mission is to address all aspects of your health problems and to educate our patients. Together we can be successful in being “younger next year”. An old Chinese proverb says “Medicine is the art of practicing kindness”

[07/03/20]   Hey all! Our office will be closed:
Monday, July 6th & Tuesday, July 7th! We apologize for the inconvenience & hope you guys have a safe 4th of July!

Hello everybody! It is now a requirement by law to wear a face mask. Please bring one with you to your appointment. If you do not have one, we will provide!

Sorry for the inconvenience!

A well-placed needle can have an immediate effect on reestablishing a better connection between nerves and muscles. This patient was having mid-back and shoulder pain from some muscles that weren’t “firing” properly. Some muscle work and acupuncture is taking care of that. #acupuncture #chiropractic #appliedkinesiology #fayettevillearkansas

[06/15/20]   ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Our online poll showed that 85% of people preferred the new schedule. So, we have updated our hours to the following:

Monday: 8-4 pm
Tuesday: 8-12 pm
Wednesday: 8-4 pm
Thursday: 12-7 pm

This gives you the option to be treated on your lunch break three days of the week! If you have any questions feel free to give us call. Thanks!

[06/01/20]   Hey all!

It appears as though we are unable to receive phone calls from T-Mobile users, if you are one of them please message us on here to schedule or if you have any questions! Sorry for the inconvenience.

-Dr. T

[05/14/20]   Sorry for the inconvenience, we are having some phone issues at the moment. It is in the process of being fixed. If you need to schedule an appointment please message us and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you!

[05/10/20]   Hey All! I’ve been doing some thinking about how to give patients with all types of schedules access to our care. I know a lot of people work long hours and can only come at lunch and people who don’t finish work until 5 or 6. So, I decided to take a poll. Option 1 is our current schedule. Option 2 is the schedule that I’m considering. It would give people the option to come on their lunch break 3 out of the 5 days and give people who work a little later an option as well. Please vote!

[03/29/20]   CLINIC COVID19 UPDATE:

I (Dr. Travis) will re-open the doors tomorrow 3/30. I have struggled to know the right action to take. On the one hand, this virus is serious and I don’t want to take any unnecessary risks. On the other hand, our patients need us to make it through their week and I also believe that the work we do is beneficial to the immune system. With that in mind, we are taking it very seriously. A few precautions we’ll be taking:

- Bleach will be used on tables between each patient and on all clinic furniture multiple times through the day. This is something we do anyway, but wanted to mention it for your peace of mind.

- Hands are washed between each patient. Again, something that is standard for us.

- Limiting any unnecessary touching. Chiropractic is a very hands-on treatment, but we will be limiting any touching to only the treatment aspect. For instance, posture will be checked visually and without the use of touch.

- I will do the majority of my adjusting while patients are facedown to create an extra barrier.

- Any employee with the slightest sign of illness will be sent home.

- Patients with any signs or symptoms will be asked to reschedule for a later date. Each patient will have their temperature checked and asked to reschedule if a fever is recorded.

- Additionally, we are using an UltraHEPA air purifier in the lobby that filters particles down to 0.003 microns in size. The corona virus is 0.125 microns in size for reference.

- Lastly, I have put together a supplement protocol geared toward boosting the immune system for fighting viral infections. This is something I’m using with myself and my family to protect us. If you would like access to the protocol, comment below and I’ll give you access.

Thank you for your loyalty!

“Numerous recent scientific publications have shown that EMF affects living organisms at levels well below most international and national guidelines. Effects include increased cancer risk, cellular stress, increase in harmful free radicals, genetic damages, structural and functional changes of the reproductive system, learning and memory deficits, neurological disorders, and negative impacts on general well-being in humans. Damage goes well beyond the human race, as there is growing evidence of harmful effects to both plant and animal life.”

[03/17/20]   We know everyone is understandably worried over the Coronavirus and wanted to reassure our patients that we are taking every possible precaution to keep our clinic as safe as possible.

We will be open Wednesday and Thursday of this week and closed Friday. Next week we will be performing therapies only as Dr. Travis will be on vacation. SO, get in tomorrow or Thursday for your adjustment and acupuncture!

P.S. We are currently accepting toilet paper and hand sanitizer as payment.

The brain needs animal fat. Humans can't thrive on plants alone. Choir ... how about an amen?!

We were closed last Thursday and Friday while Dr. T’s wife gave birth to Layla. Mom and baby are doing great!

We are back open and ready for patients!

It will be an extra-long weekend with us being closed Monday! Get in before Friday at noon!

Hop off the struggle bus and come see us! 😁

For 50 years, we were told not to eat eggs and other foods high in dietary cholesterol because they clog our arteries and increase the risk of heart disease. Then, after many years of research that showed no relationship between the amount of cholesterol we eat and the risk of heart disease, the U.S. finally removed any restriction on dietary cholesterol from its nutrition guidelines in 2016. So, you may have been surprised to see a recent batch of headlines once again claiming that eating too many eggs (and too much of the cholesterol they contain) increases the risk of cardiovascular events and early death.

So, is it really time to swap your morning eggs for a tofu scramble? Let's take a closer look.

What’s causing your inflammation?

A large body of research now suggests that depression is associated with a low-grade, chronic inflammatory response and is accompanied by increased oxidative stress. If depression is primarily caused by inflammation, the obvious question that arises is, “What is causing the inflammation?” Furthermore, what can you do if you’re suffering from depression? Find out more about the depression-inflammation connection below.

Interesting. In the study below, researchers found that lack of or disrupted sleep appears to intensify our sensitivity to pain and block the natural analgesia centers in the brain. And, this intensification can occur with even minor shifts in sleep and wake patterns.

Skip the Tylenol and come see us for healthy pain relief options.

Most people don’t think twice about taking on of the most dangerous medicines in the drugstore to alleviate the occasional ache or pain. Here’s why I think we should avoid acetaminophen whenever possible and some safer alternatives for pain relief.

Meat is in the news again, and, as usual, a new study is claiming that animal products are unhealthy and bad for the environment. In this episode of Revolution Health Radio, Diana Rodgers and I discuss everything the much-publicized EAT-Lancet paper got wrong, and explain why meat is still a healthy, nutrient-dense part of your diet.
