Pamela Wall, Ph.D., PMHNP-BC
Psychiatry

Pamela is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 28 years of experience in psychiatric nursing, including 18 years as an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse. She earned her undergraduate nursing degree from Elmhurst College and continued her education at Rush University and the University of Pennsylvania for her Master's and PhD studies. Pamela served in the United States Navy for 20 years, and after retiring, she has taken on various roles with the Veterans Administration, the United States Peace Corps, and in academia. Her clinical passion is helping adults aged 17 and older who struggle with anxiety disorders, trauma, ADHD, and depression. She firmly believes in providing patient-centered care in a safe and welcoming environment. Outside of her professional work, Pamela enjoys spending time with her beloved dogs, skiing, and appreciating everything the outdoors has to offer.

Valerie Masotti, MS, PA-C

Ms. Masotti received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Purdue University followed by her Masters of Science and Physician Assistant degree from the University of Saint Francis. She has been practicing in the field of adult and pediatric neurology since graduating in 2005 with one year of specialized training in pain management. Ms. Masotti's interests include genetic disorders, migraine, epilepsy, sleep disorders, pain syndromes as well as academic and developmental problems. Ms. Masotti is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a Member of the NC Academy of Physician Assistants.

Cheryl H. Dodson, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatry

Cheryl H. Dodson, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of experience in nursing, focused primarily on mental health and wellness. Throughout her career, she has practiced in a variety of nursing roles, from direct patient care to academia, with experience in critical care, behavioral health, substance use, case management, population health, and nursing education. Cheryl earned her undergraduate nursing degree from East Carolina University and later earned both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Union University in Tennessee.

Cheryl is passionate about the belief that mental health is fundamental to overall well-being, and as a native of Fayetteville, she is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based, person-centered care to her community. Cheryl also serves as a mentor to nursing students and is committed to the growth and development of the next generation of registered nurses and nurse practitioners. Outside of her professional life, Cheryl enjoys making memories with her much-loved family, which includes two dogs and a cat.

Myranda-Lynn Body LCSW-A, MSW

Myranda-Lynn (Myranda) Body is a clinically licensed associate social worker, who has worked with the medical field and inpatient psychiatric client needs. She has served six and half years in the United States Marine Corps where she was stationed across the country and abroad. Myranda completed her bachelors and masters of social work at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, North Carolina in 2022. Myranda has worked as a school social worker, medical social workers, prior to pursuing her clinical social work license.

Outside of work, Myranda spends her time with family and enjoying the outdoors. Some of her hobbies include reading, exploring nature, and expressing herself through creative art work. She has interest in learning new things, Harry Potter and antiquing.

Jessica Wood Fleishman, LCSW

Jessica completed her Master’s degree in clinical social work in 2011. She began working at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, where she spent 13 years helping people navigate life while they were experiencing psychiatric crises in the emergency department and acute psychiatric units.

Jessica believes that people were built to be resilient, but that doesn't mean we should have to navigate life's twists and turns all on our own. She strives to provide a non-judgmental, safe place to share and process emotions, vent frustrations, and develop the tools it takes to tackle life's individual struggles. She believes that the most important part of the therapeutic process is a supportive and collaborative relationship with her clients, where they leave each session feeling understood and encouraged.

Jessica is married, with 2 children and 2 rambunctious Australian Shepherds. In her spare time she loves spending time at the beach with her family and friends

Lisa is originally from Hinsdale, Illinois. She graduated from the Methodist University Physician Assistant Program in 2022. Upon completion of school, she worked as a Neurosurgery Physician Extender at Cape Fear Valley Hospital with Doctors Charles Haworth and Melissa Stamates. Prior to becoming a Physician Associate, she served as an instructor at the Joint Special Operations Medical Training Center for almost a decade. She is a 22-year veteran of the U.S. Army and continues to assist veterans while acting as a board member of the Veterans' Caucus of the American Academy of Physician Associates.

Responsibilities:
• Efficiently control patient flow from the reception area, through the office, to the end of the visit
• Obtain vital signs and any other information required by the physician
• Reviewing patient’s medical information for the chart such as patient’s name, allergies, procedure,
prescriptions, past medical history and medications and properly enter into the patients chart
• Ensure all referring provider notes, testing, and lab results are in the chart and readily available for
the provider so they do not have to search for them.
• Assist provider in examinations as needed or requested
• Perform in office lab testing i.e. urine, drug testing, glucose test, pregnancy etc.
• Make referrals for MRI/CT/other diagnostic testing that must be sent out of the office
• Handle all correspondence and calls to nurse station or as requested by the provider
• Assist in prior authorization for medications
• Inventory medical supplies
• Cleaning duties
§ Should be cleaned and sanitized between each patient.
§ Extremely important to keep rooms disinfected so as to eliminate the potential for
infection
• Make the front desk is aware of any procedures that need to be pre-certified prior to the procedure
being performed. Properly completed all prior authorization forms if needed
• Prepare patients for procedures
§ It is imperative that you learn to anticipate the physicians needs on each one of the
procedures performed so that the amount of time required for the procedure is
optimized
• Compliance with state and federal laws
• Assisting in answering the telephone
• Assisting in scheduling appointments
• Assisting in calling patients to remind them of their in-office testing and procedures

Recon Neurology and Psychiatry was established in February of 2023 by Dr. Banks (Neurology) and his wife, Dr. Aung (Psychiatry). At Recon Neurology & Psychiatry, LLC, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care through cutting-edge treatments and a holistic approach to mental health and neurological well-being. Our team is dedicated to advancing the field of psychiatry and neurology, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care. Currently, Recon has 3 APPs on the Neurology side, is rapidly growing, and is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) for Neurology. We are looking for an APP that can work quickly and be comfortable with patient volume, reason well, have good communication skills, good patient rapport, be a team-oriented player, have a positive attitude, be organized, action-oriented, and motivated to be successful. (We have all the tools in place for the APP to be successful and have growth potential.

Location for Position: Fayetteville, NC

Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive neurologic evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients.
• Provide a positive environment for supportive, recovery-based treatment
• Work effectively with other team members
• Provide patient care, including medication management
• Perform Procedures such as Botox/Dysport, Nerve Blocks, Lumbar Punctures etc.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies.
• Assist with administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• 1 year of Neurology experience is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and a deep understanding of neurologic disorders and treatments.
• DEA License
• Current Valid North Carolina State Medical License
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
