This is something I hear all the time…

“I’m too young for this.”
“This shouldn’t be happening yet.”

But perimenopause can start earlier than most women expect.

For a lot of women, it can start in their late 30s…
sometimes even earlier.

And it doesn’t usually start with something obvious.

It starts with subtle shifts…

Your mood feels different
Your anxiety shows up out of nowhere
Your sleep isn’t as consistent
Your body just doesn’t feel the same

And because your cycle might still be regular…
or your labs look “normal”…

it’s easy to dismiss.

Or assume it’s just stress
or a busy season
or something you’re doing wrong

But if your body feels different…that matters.

You’re not “too young” and you’re not imagining it.

You’re just noticing the early signs that something is shifting.

And the sooner you understand that…the easier it becomes to actually support your body in the right way.

It’s easy to assume…

“I just need to try harder”
“Be more disciplined”
“Eat less”

But in this phase… it’s usually not that simple.

Your body is changing.

Hormones are shifting
Your metabolism responds differently
Your stress and blood sugar patterns matter more than they used to

So the same things that worked before…
don’t always work the same way now.

That doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong.

It just means your body needs a different kind of support.

Less restriction…more understanding of what actually helps in this phase.

It usually doesn’t start with something obvious.

It starts with a feeling…

Something just feels off
You don’t feel like yourself
Your energy feels different
Your mood shifts in a way you can’t explain

And at first… it’s easy to brush it off.

You tell yourself you’re just stressed or tired or going through a busy season. But over time…it gets harder to ignore.

You might start noticing:

sleep isn’t as consistent
anxiety feels stronger or shows up out of nowhere
your body responds differently than it used to

And you can’t quite connect the dots.

This is often the beginning of perimenopause.

Not something dramatic…just subtle shifts that slowly start to add up.
