When you think of hygiene, what are the first things that come to mind? Brushing your teeth, taking a shower, washing your hands...any daily practice to help keep your body clean and healthy. In the same way that we engage in daily practices to keep our physical body healthy, practicing good mental health hygiene is equally important.
Mental Health Hygiene refers to daily practices that support and maintain mental wellness. Creating a routine of these practices can lead to improved mental health outcomes - reduced overwhelm, less stress, increased self-awareness, greater emotional stability, improved mood, and more confidence & compassion in navigating life's negative + unpleasant feelings and experiences.
Insights + Intersections upcoming skills training series is focused on strengthening your mental health hygiene through education and skill-building. Each class will offer tangible tools and practices to reset + invest in your mental health so that the stressors of each day are a little less heavy on an already overwhelmed system. How will you prioritize your mental health hygiene? 🧠✨
