Kava was the first plant I fell in love with.
It initiated me on my plant path.
It opened the door of curiousity
How plants have the ability to move us so deeply

We know that this plant offers us these benefits, but why? Plants are so special in that they choose to continuously offer themselves to us. I believe plants are our greatest teachers and allies.

In order for us to receive them, we must show up and meet them halfway. The beauty around this special root, Kava Kava, is its ability to bring people together. To soften us in order to connect to ourselves & eachother more deeply. Its a blessing to serve kava to metro Detroit and to see the way it nourishes our spirit in a space of unwinding, opening, and connection.

Damiana or Turnera diffusa is known for its aphrodisiac properties... you may know this. Why though?
🪷
It's highly aromatic properties make it diffuse or spread through the nervous system. It carries and drives whatever it is paired with deeper into the body. Damiana activates the head and pelvic region, bringing them into deeper congruency. It helps to soften and open an anxious or nervous heart. Damiana is unique in its ability to both stimulate and relax the nervous system as needed. It is easy to see why this plant may support low libido or a nervous type that finds it hard to be vulnerable and open their heart.

This plant also supports social situations for the same reasons mentioned above. I pair this with Blue lotus flowers to support its nervine properties. Kava kava can be added for next level relaxation and euphoria!

The power of Juniper Berries🌳🫐

According to the book The Energetics of Western Herbalism, Juniper 'promotes menstruation, enhances labor and delivery, and relieves pain'

Juniper's warming, stimulating and drying qualities help move stagnation and tonify the stomache, intestines, bladder, kidneys, muscles, uterus and skin.

Juniper should only be taken for a week or two maximum.

It is important to assess your constitution and the quality of your symptoms before working with Juniper. If you have a dry, hot condition this is not the remedy for you.

Ps. I like to place juniper on my altar and tuck a couple berries in my pockets for protection. ✨️
