A reminder that some of us struggling with “Omicron (covid) Fatigue” may actually be experiencing C-PTSD symptoms, including depression, isolation, and having a sense of dread.

When our usual comping activities continue to be inconsistent and disrupted, we lose our sense of “safety.” Our worldview becomes skewed and off balance; we lose our rhythm and sense of belonging.
The best way to respond when we realize our thinking errors and dysregulated mood, is to be more intentional with our known grounding skills and techniques. Reachout to our support system more, lean back into our routines and hobbies, and listen to what our body is telling us it may need, be it more sleep or rest.

Remember, we need to focus on ourselves first in order to be more present and authentic to our loved ones later.

Please join me in two weeks on Monday February 7, 2022 when I discuss
“How to Avoid Trauma Overload: Moving away from shame, identifying triggers, and implementing self-care practices when working with clients experiencing trauma”

https://corelearninginc.com/products/2722-how-to-avoid-trauma-overload-moving-away-from-shame-identifying-triggers-and-implementing-self-care-practices-when-working-with-clients-experiencing-trauma

From social media and other news reports, Healthcare Providers are bombarded with messages about “burnout” and “self-care.”

If not appropriately processed, stress, anxiety, and burnout can begin to overwhelm healthcare workers, affecting their ability to provide much needed services.

Participants will learn how to recognize the unhealthy mental patterns and lifestyle habits that contribute to emotional numbness and exhaustion.

“A 101 Primer on Microaggressions, Minority Stress & Clinical Care.”
https://corelearninginc.com/products/12422-a-101-primer-on-microaggressions-minority-stress-clinical-care

“Today, Healthcare Providers who are working with oppressed, stigmatized or underserved populations in any capacity need to know how to recognize and understand microaggressions and their effects on their clients, as well as advocating for more access to culturally competent services.
Currently, in addition to effects from chronic stress of a global pandemic, oppressed or minority population clients continue to navigate the effects from systemic racism, as well as other barriers to healthcare.

Remember that the “Good Faith Estimates (GFE)” are going into effect starting on 1/1/22.
According to the Clinical Social Work Association (CSWA), “This rule requires us to give a “good faith estimate” (GFE) to a patient of what our services will cost and how long they may last. While this policy is part of most of our informed consent forms, signed by the patient already, it is prudent to review what the GFE is more formally requesting we include in our information to the patient about the course of their treatment.”
