Life’s Fleeting Nature and Wildflower Funeral Concepts are proud to host Whatcom County’s first-ever "Before I Die Festival", a free two-day event dedicated to demystifying death, encouraging open conversations, and inspiring participants to live more fully.
Event Details:
• Dates: Saturday & Sunday, November 1-2, 2025
• Time: 1:00 – 5:00 PM each day
• Location: Wildflower Funeral Concepts

The Before I Die Festival blends education, creativity, and connection, offering participants the opportunity to reflect on life, learn about end-of-life options, and build community. Featuring local professionals, engaging workshops, live music, a film screening, and even wine-tasting, this unique event invites the public to explore topics we too often avoid.
Highlights include:
• Personal Death Reflection Exercise with educator Beck Littlefield
• Proactive Care Planning with Advanced Care Planning consultant Hilary Walker
• Threshold Choir Performance by the Bellingham Threshold Singers
• Wine About Mortality social with wine and guided conversation prompts
• Beyond the Final Breath: Choices for the Body with Brian Flowers, Funeral Director at Wildflower
• What is an End-of-Life Doula? with Beck Littlefield
• Local End-of-Life Professionals Panel featuring experts in hospice, grief, VSED, MAID, and more
• Film Screening of The Last Ecstatic Days, a moving documentary about embracing death with intention
This is the first annual Before I Die Festival in Whatcom County, produced in partnership with Life’s Fleeting Nature and Wildflower Funeral Concepts. Participants are encouraged to attend one or both days.
