I’ve wrote a poem about battling addiction and mental health

IN THE SHADOWS

In the shadows where I hide,
Whispers echo deep inside,
Caught in chains I cannot see,
Fighting battles, losing me.

Days turn into endless nights,
Chasing dreams, I lose the fights,
But there’s a spark, a flicker bright,
A voice that says, “You’ll be alright.”

I’ve stumbled, I’ve fallen, I’ve lost my way,
But I’ll gather my pieces, I’ll learn to stay,
One step at a time, I’ll break these chains,
With every heartbeat, I’ll dance in the rain.

But I’m reaching for the light,
Through the darkness of the night,
With every scar, I’ll find my way,
I’ll rise, I’ll fight, I’ll seize the day.
