🌟 Core Word of the Week: GO

This week’s core word is GO!
We use “go” all the time - to start activities, move to new places, or take turns.

💬 Model it during everyday routines:

“Let’s go outside!”

“Ready, set… GO!”

“The car can go now.”

Encourage your AAC user to use GO to show action, excitement, or readiness throughout the day!

✨ Remember: Modeling without the expectation for the AAC user to press the button is okay!

🗣️📱💬 October is AAC Awareness Month! 🗣️📱💬

At myVoice, we’re celebrating by implementing Core Word of the Week - a simple way for families, teachers, and therapists to focus on powerful everyday words that help AAC users grow their communication skills.

Core words like help, go, stop, want, and play are building blocks for expression. By modeling and practicing them across daily routines, we give AAC users the tools they need to share their voice, connect with others, and build independence.

Why it matters:
AAC isn’t just about having a device - it’s about access to language, empowerment, and community. Every person deserves the opportunity to communicate in the way that works best for them.
