Mountain House Recovery has a hardworking group of men who dedicate monthly trips to the shelter to help us with maintaining our dog yards, shelter grounds and parking lots! These tasks are much appreciated and make a great difference to our shelter, the animals and our staff! 😊
Thank you for putting in over a total of 120+ hours of volunteer labor this year into keeping the shelter looking clean, tidy and safe! 😀🙏

This week in Sedona we were above the clouds on Bear Mtn. Treacherous but rewarding!

Just some light spelunking on a Tuesday. Exploring the Lava River Cave located right in our hometown of Flagstaff! We are super lucky to have access to all of these beautiful places!

This is Bear Howard (Howie) named after local legendary trapper and outdoorsman of the same name. You can see the remnants of his hunting cabin on the West Fork trail in Sedona where we hike frequently. Howie is our other house pup and is the perfect blend of trouble and snuggle!

Really fortunate with the peppers in the Mountain House garden this year! We try to do different veggies each season and this is the first time we’ve successfully done the peppers! Recovery is about learning, growth, and trying new things!

Huge shout out to Savannah at Wild Domestics Pottery for letting the Mountain House boys throw some clay today. We are incredibly grateful. Savannah is a great teacher and offers classes for all levels.
