You've read enough to practically have a degree in your own psychology.
You know where the pattern came from.
You can trace it back to the exact moment.
You understand it completely.
And yet, it's still happening.
That's the thing nobody tells you about insight:
Understanding a pattern
and clearing a pattern
are two different things.
The subconscious doesn't speak in rational.
It speaks in sensation, in emotion, in reaction, in the loop you keep ending up in despite knowing better.
You don't need more understanding.
You need to reach the layer that understanding can't touch.
That's the work I do.

Making your world smaller to feel safer makes complete sense.
Your nervous system was doing its job.
The question is — is that job still serving you?
When the subconscious pattern underneath clears, the nervous system gets to learn something new.

The patterns we develop around food and our bodies were never about food.
They were the subconscious managing something it didn't know how to hold.
When that clears - things shift.
Not through willpower.
Through reaching what was underneath.

Save this if you've ever caught yourself thinking "I know exactly why I do this" - and then do it anyway.
You're not broken.
You're using the wrong tool for the layer you're trying to reach.

Remember when Donkey told Shrek "Ogres are like onions?"
Well, we're like onions too.
Lots of layers.
The crunchy outside - that's the stuff we've been working on,
the things we know about ourselves,
or want to change.
But the stuff on the inside,
the juicy, tender stuff
it's being protected by the rest.
So we can 1,000% have an idea of where to go,
but don't be surprised when we end up somewhere a bit unexpected,
a bit deeper
But that's where the biggest shifts happen.
Want to see what's possible for you?
Let's start peeling that onion

I love me some crystals 🔮
And the chakras are fascinating
But this "work" is really about learning that your subconscious is the one in control.
And when you can learn to understand what it's trying to tell you,
your whole life can change (even more).
Are you ready to see what yours has been trying to say?

Trust me, as an intellectualizer, I've tried.
I've tried hard.
And despite understanding why I'm stuck,
how I got there,
all the things I need to do next,
and all the things I've done prior to...
I was still stuck.
Just a hump I couldn't get over using my powerful noggin.
Then I learned that the stuckness was coming from something inside -
something deeper.
That feeling of being on auto-pilot, despite knowing and wanting to make different choices...
That wasn't a will-power issue.
Turns out it was a pattern issue.
And when I learned about subconscious work,
and eventually tried the subconscious clearing,
that stuckness started to go away
and the shifts I had worked towards started happening

Did you know that your ears are basically a remote control for your nervous system? 👂
Seriously, there are over 200 pressure points on the ear, each connected to different organs, systems, and emotional centers in your body
Auricular Therapy is a gentle, needle-free technique I use with my patients that stimulates specific points on the ear to help the body self-regulate, release tension, and restore balance
It’s like acupuncture — but calmer, quicker, and done entirely through the ears
I use this therapy to support 👇
→ Nervous system regulation (especially during high stress)
→ Anxiety + emotional overwhelm
→ Chronic tension + inflammation
→ Sleep issues and burnout
→ Digestive + hormonal imbalances
→ Trauma, PTSD, and mood swings
Auricular Therapy helps send the message
👂💬“Hey body, you’re safe. You can exhale now.”
It’s one of the quickest, non-invasive ways I help patients go from scattered and overstimulated → to grounded and calm

Since 2012, I have started (and continued) to take steps towards doing things that are fulfilling and truly align with what I believe in. That initially looked like quitting a 9-5 desk job in downtown Washington, D.C. to take a chance on personal training. I was only 6 months into this new field, but had the opportunity to work for Equinox, and even though I was terrified I wasn’t qualified enough to be there, I joined the Equinox fam. There I learned an incredible amount of things, met amazing people, and had the opportunity to work with some extremely intelligent and talented (physically and intellectually) individuals. I worked my way up the ranks to Tier 3+, put in long hours, became an instructor who facilitated the in-house education, and ranked in the top 100 (and 50) trainers in the company for three years. During those years I earned more certifications - Precision Nutrition, Pre/Post Natal Exercise, Kettlebells 1&2, Functional Movement Systems, and Trigger Point Therapy and spent countless hours learning from my coworkers and managers.
But I was finding it wasn’t enough. In early 2016 I was accepted into an Eating Psychology certificate program through the Institute for the Psychology of Eating - and I was hooked. This new source of information about the mind-body connection and how food and eating was so much more than just numbers and macros really caught my attention. I also had been living with (and undiagnosed) binge eating disorder for probably over a decade, and really struggled with emotional eating and my relationship to food in general. As I became more aware of so many other parts of me, my relationship to food began to change (for the better) and I craved more information about how to heal myself.
About a quarter through that program, I experienced a break up that sort of lead to a revelation. Not only did I have a dysfunctional relationship with food, but also to people. I was codependent. And not only in romantic partners, but with friends as well. As I was beginning to understand this, I had taken up yoga - as a coping mechanism to keep me from being swallowed by the ache in my heart - put in place by my own expectations. My teachers just thought I was a very dedicated student, but really, yoga was my lifeline.
A few months into my yoga practice, I attended a retreat for 20-somethings at Kripalu, run by Coby Kozlowski. Changed. My. Life. (I would recommend attending if you ever have the chance, and if you can’t make it in person - she released a book on Jan 7, 2020 that the program was based on. This book is NOT just for 20 somethings, it’s for every single person out there.) I left the retreat with a better idea of what I wanted in my life. Boundaries - to start. And, an adventure. I wanted to truly discover who I was aside from my profession and current identity. I researched and planned, and decided I was going to take a yoga teacher training in India, beginning Jan 2, 2017. At the end of December, I left my job at Equinox, spent the holidays with my family and set off across the world on a solo 7 month trip.
The trip provided me with exactly what I needed. It also got me interested in learning more about yoga psychology, so I enrolled in an advanced teacher training. When I got back to the states, I fought the urge to go back to the lifestyle I had left, and worked on my own schedule. Then I took advantage of an amazing opportunity as a founding employee to open a new athletic and wellness facility. And then, my life took me to rural Northwestern Arizona. I knew that my experience in this significantly smaller city would be what I would make of it - so I approached things differently than I historically might have. I began learning about energy healing, and having experienced significant results from it - had the courage to start this business! But I wasn’t done learning. I enrolled in a year-long certificate program to become a mind-body therapy practitioner.
So that’s where I am now. Forever a student. But taking bits and pieces from everything I have learned along the way to help other people discover the life they have always wanted; to guide individuals towards the path that truly honors who they want to be.
