At just 10 years old, Elias Sevilla made his international debut at the PONY U10 Pre-World Series in the Dominican Republic, and was named MVP of his team! 🇳🇮🔥

Elias is proof that when we invest in youth through sports, we build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and opportunity. Supporting young athletes isn't just about the game, it's about giving kids the tools to dream big, stay focused, and rise above limits.

Let’s keep empowering kids like Elias through sports and education. The future is already on the field. 💪⚾

In one of the driest regions of northern Nicaragua, water is flowing and hope is growing. 🌱☀️

With donor support, Tierras Coloradas now has a solar-powered drip irrigation system, helping five collective farmers grow corn and feed 20 families year-round.

This sustainable solution reduces dependence on fuel and grid electricity while boosting productivity and food security. Thank you to everyone making clean water and resilience possible.

On Children’s Day, Belen Garden transformed into a place of magic and imagination.

The kids came dressed in their favorite costumes: superheroes, princesses, animals, ready to celebrate a day that was all about them. With music, laughter, and games, the garden echoed with pure joy. 💫

It was a beautiful reminder of how important it is to let children just be children, to play, to dream, and to feel loved and celebrated. 💛 Thank you to everyone who makes days like this possible.

Imagine a place where elderly residents have a safe and comfortable bed, where medical volunteers are always there to provide care, and where food and medicines are readily available. We saw this beautiful reality come to life during our visits to two elderly homes in Sebaco and Jinotega. More than that, we saw communities where residents are surrounded by warmth and companionship, making life feel a bit brighter. Your support is crucial in sustaining these havens.

With your donation, you can directly contribute to providing a safe place to sleep, continuous medical care, and the daily essentials that bring comfort and dignity to these beloved elders 💛✨

An overwhelming THANK YOU to Then Feed Just One for providing 200,000 meals that will directly benefit families in refugee camps across Chad. The humanitarian situation there is critical; Chad is now home to over 1.2 million Sudanese refugees, a number that has more than tripled in just over two years due to ongoing conflict. Many are facing severe food insecurity, lack of clean water, and inadequate shelter.

These meals offer a lifeline, providing essential nutrition and a beacon of hope amidst immense hardship. Your support truly matters! ✨

📍 Metche Refugee Camp – Chad

The HKRF and APDE teams visited Metche, one of the permanent refugee camps in the region, where families forced to flee conflict are working to rebuild their lives. Here, organizations provide vital support: food aid, medical care, and shelter, but the needs remain far greater than what current resources can cover.

The most urgent need in Metché is access to water. The camp lacks a reliable source, and both families and aid organizations are calling for the construction of wells to ensure safe and consistent water supply. Without water, daily life and long-term recovery remain a struggle.

We are committed to amplifying their voices and working toward sustainable solutions. 💧💛

While visiting Adré, the HKRF team, together with our partner APDE , witnessed the incredible work of For You Initiative, a medical organization providing life-saving care to over 300 patients every day.

Their clinic, located inside the refugee camp, includes a gynecology consultation room and a laboratory for malaria testing, a critical resource, as malaria remains the leading cause of death in the camp. Serving a population of more than 250,000 Sudanese refugees, their impact is both profound and essential.

However, the need for medical equipment, medicines, and resources continues to far exceed what is currently available. The dedication of the medical staff is unwavering, but they need more support to keep up with the overwhelming demand.

We’re inspired by their commitment and proud to stand alongside partners working tirelessly to bring health, hope, and dignity to those in crisis. 💛🌍

The HKRF team is currently in Chad, working alongside our partners at APDE, visiting various partner organizations and gathering crucial information from the field to better understand the needs of refugees and vulnerable communities.

During our mission, we had the opportunity to visit the World Food Programme (WFP) warehouse and join a food distribution for refugee families. It was an eye-opening experience to witness the logistics, dedication, and scale of effort involved in getting food to those who need it most.

This collaboration provided us with valuable insight into how WFP supports these communities and how HKRF can complement their efforts—by helping to fill the gaps, addressing unmet needs, and expanding support for refugees in areas like water, healthcare, and protection.

Together, we are stronger. 💛🌍
