Over the years, we have had the opportunity to follow the journey of several young athletes who continue to grow both on and off the field.

With the support of Helping Kids Round First and Working For A Dream Baseball Academy , many of these players have developed their skills, strengthened their discipline, and taken important steps toward their goals.

We are proud to see that some of these prospects have already signed with professional baseball organizations, reflecting the dedication, effort, and consistency they have shown throughout their training.

These achievements highlight the progress that comes from discipline, guidance, and access to the right opportunities.

Nimia Rosa Miranda López, from the communities of Somoto, is one of many individuals who has put available resources into practice. Through her own initiative, she has started small ventures such as baking cookies and preparing traditional coffee, using what she has learned and developed over time.

With the support of Helping Kids Round First and the Lutheran Church, community members are gaining access to tools and opportunities that allow them to explore their creativity and build new sources of income.

Stories like Doña Nimia’s reflect the impact of ongoing support and the determination of individuals working to create meaningful change in their lives.

On World Health Day, we reflect on the importance of access to basic healthcare for children and families in the communities we serve.

Through medical brigades, health screenings, and the distribution of essential medical equipment, Helping Kids Round First continues working to support early detection, improve wellbeing, and provide care where it is needed most.

Access to healthcare is a key part of building stronger, healthier communities and every effort made today helps create better opportunities for tomorrow.

At Helping Kids Round First, we remain committed to supporting not only children, but also elderly individuals who deserve to live with care, respect, and dignity.

Through our support of elderly homes, we help ensure that seniors have access to a safe environment, nutritious meals, medical attention, and daily care. These spaces provide more than assistance they offer comfort, stability, and human connection.

Seeing them cared for and surrounded by support reminds us of the importance of creating communities where every generation is valued and protected.

In Los Ranchos, the poultry unit managed by strong women in the community of Somoto continues to show steady progress. The increase in laying hens reflects their dedication and the care they put into this work every day.

With the support of an incubator, fertilized eggs are now being used to raise new chicks, allowing them to expand their flock while maintaining egg production at the same time.

This process is helping build a more sustainable and consistent source of growth for the community.

Today, a medical brigade was carried out to provide basic health screenings for the children, including blood sugar testing to help identify potential risks and support early detection.

These efforts are an important part of ensuring that children receive the care they need to grow healthy and strong, while also helping guide families with timely information and support.

Access to preventive care plays a key role in building a healthier future, and we are grateful to all those who made this initiative possible.
