👋 Meet Sheila - a travel enthusiast who loves taking RV roadtrips with her husband. But when an MRI showed advanced arthritis and other medical issues in her knee, she knew something had to change. After nine months of leg pain, Sheila finally had a total knee replacement at Baptist Orthopedics, located right at .
“I was so happy to have the surgery close to home,” she shared. “Dr. Kurt Madzunovic made the entire experience exceptional. He’s very patient and never makes you feel rushed, and his staff was gracious, proficient and accommodating. I never had to wait more than five minutes for any of my appointments, and he was always happy to answer all my questions. Even when I sent him messages, he would answer very promptly. He is so knowledgeable and explains everything in detail. He made me feel very comfortable and safe in his hands.”
Sheila was able to go home the day after surgery and committed herself to recovery. She emphasizes that physical therapy was key to her success. Just four weeks after surgery, she was back to many of her normal activities—and she hasn’t stopped there! Sheila has since bought a stationary bike and a rowing machine to continue staying fit and active.
“Physical therapy at Baptist Rehabilitation made all the difference, and I continue to improve every day. I just wish I had done it sooner!”
Today, Sheila is back to doing what she loves most - traveling with her husband and enjoying life with her new knee. 🚐✨
