We're excited to announce a major step forward in expanding access to crisis support for our community!

This new service is powered by our trusted crisis line partner and branded as WeGotU — just text GHS to 934688 any time, day or night.

✅ New Number: Text GHS to 934688 (WeGotU)
✅ Available 24/7
✅ Fast, compassionate support for anyone in crisis
✅ Same high-quality care — one more way we’re making help easier to reach

Important note: You can still text “Flint” to 741741 and receive immediate support. While 741741 connects users to a national crisis line, our new provider is specifically trained in GHS protocols and local resources — ensuring you receive support that’s not only immediate, but also informed by our community’s unique needs.

This enhancement is part of our broader strategy to make crisis services more responsive and accessible.

Below is information from EGLE’s Air Quality Division. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is a color-coded way for residents to see what the levels of some types of air pollution are in their area. The higher the AQI, the worse the air quality is and the more cause for concern.

Smoke from wildfires in Canada and the U.S. is causing high levels of air pollution across Michigan. The Air Quality Index (AQI) shows unhealthy levels of particulate matter (PM2.5) in many areas.

What to Know:
• Advisories mean air is unhealthy for sensitive groups (like kids, older adults, or people with breathing issues).
• Alerts mean air could be unhealthy for everyone.

What You Can Do:
• Stay indoors when air quality is poor.
• Keep windows closed.
• Use A/C and an air filter (MERV-13 or higher).
• Avoid frying food, burning candles, and vacuuming.
• If you go outside, wear a well-fitting N95 or P100 mask if possible.
• Limit outdoor activities and take breaks.

Stay Informed:
• Check current AQI on weather apps or at MIAir (Air Monitoring Map).
• Follow EGLE on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram:
