Porsche & Hooch - Hobo's Heroes

Porsche & Hooch - Hobo's Heroes Hooch was rescued by an entire neighborhood. This page is to help keep everyone informed of his progress, and to let people know how they can help.

In late April, 2014, a small red dog was seen wandering the streets of our neighborhood. Several neighbors expressed concern and tried to entice the little guy with food and treats. He would have none of it. He was obviously is distress and not very trusting of humans. After a week or so of unsuccessful attempts to lure him to safety, he simply vanished. A few days later,we had a lead on him, and one outstanding dog-lover went to rescue him. After hours of sitting with him and with some gentle coaxing, she had the little guy she named Hobo-because he's a wandering man :) Offers to help had already been pouring in, and he was taken to the vet for a check-up. Hobo had most likely been used as a bait dog,he had some scarring and wounds, and also has heart worms. Thanks to the generosity of neighbors near and far, he was neutered, endured heart worm treatment, along with 3 rounds of hookworms. One wonderful couple kept him the first nights and he now has a forever home with a young, no longer lonely lady. You can help with Hobo's (Hooch's) medical expenses by donating to Hobo's Account at Riverside Animal Hospital, Flushing MI 810-659-5692.
