The photo became one of the most iconic images of the civil rights movement. Now, at 87, he stunned the crowd at New York Fashion Week by walking the runway — reminding the world that the same man who once risked it all for justice is still standing strong.

This Saturday, June 15th, we’re celebrating Juneteenth. There will be plenty of vendors and activities to choose from, including food and more. I’m participating, so come out and eat some good ole vegan soul food. Bring your non-vegan friends as well; there will be other options available for everyone’s convenience. Admission is free, and so are the samples.
