It's never to late to prepare for the Ramadan to get the most out of this blessed month.

So, let's discuss How To Make The Most of This Blessed Month?

✅Tip # 1. Remind Yourself of The True Purpose of Ramadan

The true purpose behind fasting in Ramadan is to gain Taqwa, work on our relationship with Allah(swt) and get closer to Him.

In Quran Allah says, “O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous. [Al-Baqarah - 183]

Taqwa means fearing Allah, obeying the commands of Allah, being content with little, and preparing for the day of judgement.

Now the question is how can we gain Taqwa in Ramadan?

- In Ramadan, we reconnect with the book of Allah and try to read and understand its meaning which reminds us of our true purpose and help us to work on our emaan.

- In Ramadan Allah has promised us forgiveness for all our past sins if we sincerely ask for His forgiveness. It is the best time to repent to Allah for our previous sins, make loads of duas and revive our relationship with Allah (swt).

- As humans we tend to take everything in life for granted and forget to thank our Creator for many blessings that Be has bestiwed upon us. But in Ramadan, fasting put in us a sense of gratitude for all that Allah has blessed us with. Fasting makes us appreciate the value of food and drink. This sense of gratefulness helps us to up lift our Taqwa.

- As a result, we become more compassionate towards the poor and needy. We start giving charity in the way of Allah (swt) and that brings us closer to Allah(swt).

✅Tip # 2. Try to Pray All Kinds of Prayers & Increase Your Duas

Allah’s Messenger (saw) said, “Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.” [Sahih al-Bukhari]

- Try to pray the 5 daily prayers on time
- Pray atleast 2 rakah Ishraq/Duha prayer
- Pray Taraweeh prayer after isha
- Tahajjud: Try to get up 20 - 30 minutes earlier for suhoor and utilize this time to pray tahjjud, seek Allah’s forgiveness and make loads of duas.

Try to make dua as much as you can especially before Iftar and in Qiyam-ul-Layl during sujood and ask Allah(swt) for whatever your heart wishes and for the best of both worlds.

✅Tip # 3. Spend More Time with Quran

Ramadan is the month of Quran. Allah says in Quran, “The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion.” [Al-Baqarah-185]

Allah (swt) wants us to recite Quran in this month like we never recited it before, reflect on it like we never reflected upon it before, and memorize it like we never memorized it before. It’s not just another Ramadan but another opportunity for us to get closer to Allah(swt) by reconnecting ourselves with His book.

Set realistic goals for yourself on how you can spend more time with Quran for greater benefit.

For example
- You can Memorize a portion of Quran this Ramadan
- You can study its meaning and tafseer
- You can listen to its recitation and improve your recitation

- You can set a goal to complete its recitation once or twice in this Ramadan according to your time and capacity.

Moreover, you can also register yourself for a tafseer course or participate in a Daur-e-Quran or any other course that assist you to become a better Muslimah and improve your relationship with Allah(swt).

✅Tip # 4. Spend in Charity

Anas(R.A) asked, “Which charity is best” upon which Prophet saw replied, “Charity in the month of Ramadan”. [At-Tirmidhi]

On another occasion Prophet saw said, “The fasting is a shield against evil, the charity extinguishes (the fire of sin) just as water extinguishes fire,” [Ibn Majah]

Prophet saw was the most generous person and in the month of Ramadan he used to become more generous and would invest a lot in charity.

So, spend in charity as much as you can in this blessed month to multiply the reward.

I pray that may Allah(swt) help us to cleanse our hearts through this blessed month, worship Him in the best possible manner and get closer to Him. AMEEN!

Khadijaرضى الله عنها is my role model. I aspire to be like this fierce lady.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) once said that
from among the women of the world who have reached perfection and who are worthy of following are (the following four): Maryam the daughter of Imran; Khadijah daughter of Khuwaylid; Fatima daughter of Muhammad and Asiyah wife of Fir’aun” (Tirmidhi).

There is something about Khadija رضى الله عنها that resonates with me. Although I love and respect all the female companions but there is something about her character that pulls me towards her and aspires me to be like her.

Khadijaرضى الله عنها has taught me how a pious, modest and a courageous woman can achieve success in both worlds. She has influenced me to strive to become the best version of myself.

Do you have a role model? Who is He/She? And what lessons you've learned from him/her? I'd love to listen from you.

We learn the importance of reading from our deen as one of Allah’s first commands in the Quran is “READ”.

Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. Reading is the best workout for your mind. The more knowledge you will have the more better-equipped you will be to tackle any challenge in your life.

Reading is a form of meditation which will help you to increase your focus and concentration.

Reading is a great technique for relaxation. So next time when you feel stressed, just pick up your favorite book and relax yourself.

If you truly want to grow then make a habit of reading daily. Read whatever you like, either it’s any religious book or any other work of literature which you like.

I'm sure many of us already know about these amazing benefits of reading but still we struggle with disciplining ourselves to develop this great habit. So,let me share some useful tips which will help you to develop the habit of reading daily without making it a chore.

1. Take baby steps. Don’t aim to complete a book in a day rather start by reading a few pages and then gradually increase it. Imagine even if you read 10 pages in a day then in one month you read 300 pages, which is huge.

2. Specify a particular time in a day for reading. Reading in a same time daily will help you to soon form a habit of it and you will find yourself doing it without any struggle. And it’s best to set that time in the morning hours as this is a positive way of starting your day.

3. Try to make the process of reading enjoyable for yourself. Eat your favorite food, snack or anything you love during your reading time. This is one of the greatest ways of rewarding yourself.

4. Lastly, never ever borrow books from someone else to read rather always try to buy books by your own money. The reason behind this golden rule is that we don’t value the things we get for free. So, invest in books and make your own collection of your favorite books.

Do you face any other challenge to develop the habit of reading? If yes then mention it in comments and I'll try to help you with that. And If you find this post helpful then share it with your friends and help them to grow too🌼

P.S. In my upcoming posts I'll share some of my favorite books with you all In'sha Allah. So stay tuned!

Many people these days are extremely anxious and worried for themselves and especially for their loved ones about contracting COVID-19.

Having a persistent anxiety and worry doesn’t only impact your life negatively but it also stop you from thinking what you can do in this situation to make yourself and your loved ones safe, secure and productive. Remember that stress can weaken your immune system severely and can make you more vulnerable to the virus.

Let me share some tips with you that can help you to lower the intensity of this anxiety and cope with the situation better.

1. First and foremost make the habit of doing morning and evening Azkar. The morning and evening supplications are like a shield, the thicker it is, the more its owner is protected. Trust me if you really supplicate these Azkar with conviction while knowing their meaning, it will surely comfort your heart and will protect you from all kinds of harm.

2. Stop watching news which talks about all these horror stories of COVID-19. Try spending time focusing on positive information, stories of people who recovered from it successfully and engage in activities that take your mind off your fears.

3. Instead of focusing on your fear, think rationally about the situation. Coronavirus has led to tragedy for many families, and I acknowledge the risk of contracting virus differs from person to person. However, keep in mind over 90% of people infected with coronavirus have already recovered. So there is still hope.

4. Remember that your immune system can fight well even if you get the virus. So focus on your diet. Eat foods that help you strengthen your immune system and avoid eating from outside.

5. Keep yourself busy with productive things.Manage your sleep, add exercise or a 30 min walk into your daily routine, start learning a new skill online and socialize with friends over Skype or Whatsapp.

Note: These tips are only for people who have mild anxiety issues, not the major ones.

LEARN TO SAY NO!!
One of the fastest ways to a better life is saying No to those things that don't serve you, your family or the universe.

Say No to a friend who offers you something which goes against your values.

Say No to a coworker who is treating you bad.

Say No to a boss who makes you feel inferior.

Say No to your employees who are taking your advantage.

Say No to your spouse because they are not showing you respect.

Say No to an action that's not doing any good to your life.

Remember that when you say Yes to one thing, you are automatically saying no to something which could be more beneficial for you. So learn to say No and start by saying one "No" today.

Today give yourself a break from all the things that drain your energy, cut them off and do the things that make you happy.

1. Cutt off the news and the tv serials that promote more negativity than entertainment.

2. Sit & spend some leisure time with family or friends.

3. Go for a walk.

4. Visit or call a friend.

5. Cook or bake something you love.

6. Read your favourite book.

Do the things that make you happy🌼

Love is just a word, actions prove its worth!!

So, if you truly love Allah then prove it with your actions and follow His commands completely, not just the ones easy for you.

Or even if you claim to love a human then never be the reason of their pain. Don't play games. Love them unconditionally, not only when they fulfill your criterion of conditions.

5 keys to be on the success journey.

1. NEVER GIVE UP - No matter what happens in life never give up the courage to move on. You can't be impatient if you want long-lasting success. You can't lose weight in a week, you can't become expert in a field just by reading few books and spending a year of study. You must keep practicing a skill for several years before you get the recognition. People get praised in public for what they practice for years in private.

2. BE OPTIMISTIC - Negative thoughts do come into our minds but don't let them stay there. Be aware of your negative state of mind and consciously replace a negative thought with a positive one.

3. BE RESILIENT - There is no such thing as failure, there is only feedback. Learn from the mistakes, lookback to your mission and come with a new plan.

4. LIKE YOURSELF - To achieve your full potential you must develope your self-esteem. Acknowledge your strengths, appreciate the things you are grateful for, accept yourself unconditionally and never put yourself down.

5. CREATE A POSITIVE ENVIRONMEMT - Have a circle of positive people, people who have a positive mindset and who uplift you. Likewise avoid negative people.
