Wednesdays have had such low attendance and no telling what's plowed on my non-county roads, so I'm officially canceling the morning class today. If things are looking better later we'll see you tonight. Making Our Moves is absolutely on for Friday at 10 am. ❤️

Loving this moisture and we're not going to let the weather and life keep us from dancing this week! Belly Dance classes Wednesday 10 to 11 am, 6 to 7 pm and Friday 10 to 11 am at 38 Costello Ave.

Take a look at this month's edition of the Ute Country News! II've got an article on Water, Tammie from Oyate Herbals has written about Going Grey for May, and there is so much more great information and local goodness in there. Pick one up while out and about or read it here:

We are a monthly newspaper dedicated to bringing the people and businesses of Colorado's Teller, Park, Fremont, and El Paso Counties together to expand growing and caring communities. We cover topics of interest specific to life in the mountains, from historical figures and places to science, nature...

Meanwhile! Watch this video! Getting your excercise through dancing shows a 76% reduction in dementia risk! It also covers why dancing helps heart, joint, lymph health and more, especially dance styles like belly dance class...😉

Too long didn't watch? Play songs you love and dance around at least 10 mins a day letting spine, shoulders, hips, head and feet undulate and move freely. 💃

Beautiful wisdom 🪶

Do not chase the sun.
Walk toward it with a clean heart.
What is meant for you will not miss you
when your steps are honest.

When the wind rises, do not fight it.
Let it teach you direction.
Some storms are not punishment.
They are corrections.
They turn you back to your own medicine.

Do not confuse noise with truth.
The loudest voices are often the most lost.
Listen for the quiet instruction
that comes after the tears,
after the anger,
after the pride lays down.

Carry your pain like a bundle, not a weapon.
Do not swing it at the ones who love you.
Do not build a home inside your wounds.
Build a path.
Build a way through.

If you have to choose,
choose what keeps your spirit gentle.
Choose what lets you sleep without shame.
Choose what you can offer to the next generation
without lowering your eyes.

And when you arrive,
do not brag about the distance.
Give thanks for the guidance.
Give thanks for the road.
Then turn around and help somebody else find their way.
