What do you like to do in your free time? Spending time with my friends and family :), gardening, art, sitting outside on the porch with coffee ☕️
Why did you choose dermatology?
I was drawn to the artistic side of dermatology and the ability to diagnose based solely on what you see and feel. I also like that we get a mix of procedures as well clinical exposure! Mostly, I love the idea of helping people feel good in their own skin :)

🌟 What he will miss most about UMMC: I will definitely miss the day to day relationships the most. All of the fun moments shared with co-workers are what make a workplace special.

🌟 First thing I’ll do after boards are over: Honestly, I will probably take a nap.

We are going to miss this senior class of 2025! Kicking off our senior spotlight series is Dr. Laura Beth Edwards!

🌟 Plans after residency: Our family will be moving to Nashville, Tennessee, where I will be joining the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Department of Dermatology as faculty!

🌟 Favorite memory from residency: All of the time spent with my co-residents has been the highlight of my time in residency! Whether that’s been with the crew in Monday AM continuity clinic, during didactics, at conferences and dinners, celebrations of babies and birthdays and more, the time spent with y’all is something I’ll always treasure!

🌟 What she’ll miss most about Jackson/UMMC: I’ll miss the dear friends I’ve made both at UMMC and through our church family at First Presbyterian Church Jackson. The community here has been truly special… Jackson, Mississippi is a hidden gem mostly because of its people! We’re leaving here with some lifelong friendships.

🌟 First thing I’ll do after board are over: I’m planning to soak up all the sweet snuggles with my baby girl, explore our new city with my husband, and spend some much overdue time with extended family. I can’t wait!
