To Whom it May Concern:
Knowing Barb for the past 20 years & working with her at the nursing homes in Lincoln County has been a learning experience. Paul & I were (Ombudsman), meaning (one who speaks for another). We met, and she is very passionate about what she does, giving advice to families, taking care of and watching your loved ones while you get other important things done.
All this became very useful to Paul and I when Paul was diagnosed with Dementia. I am now one of her clients. We are very blessed to have her. We are confident to know she will be there day or night. You should give her a call.

Joined several of my clients at LCCOA in Troy for the monthly Jam Session. We had an extra treat of dancing with a sweet little girl. So sure stole the show and gifted us with so many smiles.

The Jam Session is the last Fridays every month except during certain days when closed. Call to make sure it isn’t closed that day.

Join us for good music and lots of socializing and fun!

My heart melts every time I see this precious couple dance. When we met 2 years ago, their lives were in turmoil due to the arrival of dementia. But, through love, trust, knowledge, and guidance they are now living a quality life once again and even rediscovering the joy of dancing together (which is how they met).
Dementia does not have to ruin lives!

*Working with Barb these past 2 years has been extremely beneficial for me and my family. She has an in-depth knowledge of how to help those suffering with dementia and their families. She is not afraid to have tough conversations, but does it with such compassion.
Often my dad will not listen when someone tells him something he does not want to hear, but if Barb tells him, he seems to listen.
She has become an integral part of our lives. She is a trusted confidant who gives advice while honoring our family’s wishes and beliefs. She truly cares and makes connections. She views the family as a whole and doesn’t only focus on the person who has dementia. She has helped my dad every bit as much as she has helped my mom.
She pushes them outside their comfort zone a bit, gets them involved in activities that she knows they will enjoy but wouldn’t do on their own.
I would recommend Barb to anyone and their family that may be going through the tough times that dementia brings.
