So, after many tests and scans this week. My oncologist and I met today, and I was informed that I no longer need Chemo and all cancer is gone! I can begin my new life!

On my way to Ku med today for more scans to see if anything has changed with the areas they have been watching since January. This is going to be a long day.

Well...... As of yesterday....

We went over my PET scans, bone scans, CT's, MRI's, and anything else. And as of yesterday what spots they thought had become bone metastasis are now gone. No longer there. They no longer see any tumors in my body. Which is why I thought my tattoo was so fitting today. So I have more scans coming up..... We will hope that it stays clear!

Sooo...... here's the big news....

I didn't have surgery this week to redo my mastectomy because we were waiting on a few tests to come back regarding a lesion that had been seen on my spine. My bone scan shows that's negative on my spine. However, it appears that I have facial bone metastases due to breast cancer. I have an area that appeared in August that was assumed to be contamination spread from me touching my port and then my face. This area has now shown up on numerous MRI's and bone scans, it was not there last December 19th when my first scan was done. So.... we are waiting to talk to my oncologist at ku as she's out of the country for the holidays......so....... I was told last year that my 40's weren't realistic...but then again Dr make mistakes too. So....... what's left to do.... continue my prayers and my life as usual...and plan on the best Christmas EVER and some exciting times for new years with a great big smile. I think that's all that can be expected! Ok I would like a white Christmas please.

A year ago today I was diagnosed with breast cancer.....and was to be done with all treatment in August.......Here I am a year later, getting ready for a second surgery on December 17th to redo my mastectomy. Needless to say it has been a long year. I'm so grateful for all of the support I've had from such wonderful friends and family. It has definitely shown me who my true friends are....the ones who haven't left my side even if we don't talk every day, it has also given me the chance to become closer to family members......which was long over due. I couldn't have gotten to this point without each and every one of you. Thank you so very much. Here's to another year....and hopefully one that will end with a Dr. telling me I'm cancer free.
