This morning’s scripture really touched my heart. Jesus tells us to pick up our cross and follow Him. But what does that truly mean in our daily lives?

In Greek, the word for “cross” is stauros, which means stake, pillar, or cross. Picture that, something large, heavy, and difficult to carry. Jesus bore His cross, and in many ways, we carry ours too through sleepless nights, health challenges, financial worries, or emotional struggles. These weights are real and hard.

This passage reminds us that following Christ means surrendering our own plans for His, denying our selfish desires, and continuing to walk forward even when life feels heavy, trusting that this world and its troubles are only temporary.

So what does it look like to pick up our cross daily? It looks like choosing prayer instead of panic, peace instead of escape, and faith instead of fear. It’s seeking God in our frustrations, spending time in His Word, reaching out to our community for support, and allowing Him to strengthen and transform us day by day.

May we be reminded today that we don’t carry our crosses alone; Christ walks with us every step of the way. ✝️💖

“According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.”

What will be revealed through the fire??? Stay encouraged my sisters and brothers!! Long suffering perfects one of the many fruits which is PATIENCE! The reward will be more than we can imagine!!!

Thank God for Pastors like Philip Anthony Mitchell ! For using him to speak about the preparation of the end times.
For people like myself who felt uncomfortable…but honestly afraid to read the book of Revelation. He really gives you the encouragement to read and not only that but to PAY ATTENTION to the signs.
Yesterday’s sermon gave plenty of bread, but for me it was the story of the 10 virgins. I’ve heard this story before but 🤯 blown away at his interpretation from what the Lord brought on his heart to share. If you were led to listen… my question to you:
Are you the virgin who will be prepared or are you assuming you’ll have the extra time???

“Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good. It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭127‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This verse challenges us to see where our true intentions lye. Whether you’re a business owner or have a 9-5. What is your work ethic built on? He blesses the righteous, and even they fall 7 times but rise again.
Work hard my brothers and sisters but rest well in knowing He will provide, for God gives rest to His loved ones ❤️ Happy Monday 🙌🏿
