***Winter Weather Update for Fort Liberty***
The Fort Liberty Roads Team plans to start pretreating road surfaces today and Thursday to allow the brine to dry on the road surfaces. Currently, we’re looking at a period of winter weather beginning Friday afternoon continuing into early Saturday morning before changing to rain. Our most hazardous time will occur just before Friday at midnight through 3 a.m. on Saturday. Snow accumulation up to 1 inch is possible, mainly in grassy areas, with high accumulation amounts north of the installation.

Note: Temperatures are expected to drop into the 20’s overnight Saturday, so any residual liquid will freeze again that night and Sunday morning. Please be safe.

We will continue to monitor and will provide updates as they come.

🚑 Join Our CPR-First Aid-Stop the Bleed Class! 🚑

We are excited to offer a comprehensive class on CPR, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn essential life-saving skills that can make a difference in emergencies.

📅 Date: Wednesday January 15, 2025
🕒 Time: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Children ages 10+ can participate in this class. An "adult" ticket would need to be purchased.

What You'll Learn:

CPR Techniques: Understand the basics of performing CPR.
First Aid Skills: Learn how to handle common injuries and emergencies.
Stop the Bleed: Gain knowledge on how to control bleeding and save lives.

Important Note: This class does not provide a certification on CPR. It is designed to equip you with practical skills and knowledge to respond effectively in emergency situations.

LOUD NOISE ALERT for January 8!

***ATTENTION*** Fort Liberty Soldiers will conduct training on Jan. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pope AAF, near Rock Merritt Ave and Etheridge St. This training involves the use of explosive noise-making materials. Please be aware of potential loud noises in the area during this time. Unit personnel will remain within the designated training area and will not interact with the local population. Thank you for your understanding as we ensure readiness and mission preparedness.

Please be aware of the following closures due to the executive order establishing January 9th as a National Day of Mourning for James Earl Carter, Jr., the 39th President of the United States

All primary care and specialty care clinics will be closed on Thursday, Jan 9th, Closures include Byars Medical Clinic, Clark Health Clinic, Joel, Robinson Health Clinic, Womack Family Medicine Residency Clinic, Hope Mills Medical Home and Linden Oaks Medical Home, the Department of Behavioral Health/ Womack Health and Support Center. Main Pharmacy, Pharmacy Annex, Outpatient Laboratory, OB Lab, Fort Liberty DENTAC facilities, Intrepid Spirit, and Fayetteville Rehabilitation Center. Patients who have scheduled appointments will be contacted by their clinic. Fort Liberty Blood Donor center will be closed to walk-ins. Fast Track Clinic will remain open 7a.m. to 3 p.m.
