BRAIN INJURY PREVENTION PROGRAM:
The Fort Carson Intrepid Spirit Center is looking for service members to participate in a two-week performance enhancement program. Brain Longevity, Deployment Enhancement, or BLADE, is a prevention program for those at risk of sustaining a head injury/blast exposure. The program will focus on helping participants learn strategies to improve physical, cognitive, and psychological performance domains that are necessary for operational environments.

Classes run Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The next class is scheduled for March 2-13, 2026. Participants do not have to be active Intrepid Spirit Center patients.

Our EACH Spotlight this week is a two for one! Spec. Christopher Berard, a 68D Operating Room Specialist assigned to the EACH Department of Surgery, and 1st Lt. Michaela Flanagan, a 66G Labor and Delivery Nurse assigned to the Mountain Post Birthing Center, earned the highly coveted Expert Field Medical Badge on Feb. 13, 2026 at Fort Irwin, Calif. And as if earning the EFMB isn't hard enough, Flanagan further distinguished herself by successfully completing all EFMB tasks without a single failure! Please join us in congratulating them both on their significant achievements!

MOBILE FOOD MARKET:
Fort Carson is hosting a FREE Mobile Food Market on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Abrams Elementary School, located at 600 Chiles Ave, near Gate 3. The Mobile Food Market is sponsored by Care and Share of Southern Colorado and offers fresh produce, dairy, and pantry staples, and is FREE to Soldiers of all ranks, family members, and Veterans.

In case you miss this Saturday’s Mobile Food Market, it is open twice monthly. Upcoming dates: March 7, March 21, April 4 and April 18.

Three Evans Army Community Hospital Soldiers successfully completed the rigorous Special Operations Forces Arctic Medic course Jan. 10-27, 2026, at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The elite training, hosted by Special Operations Command North, challenged participants to provide prolonged combat casualty care in the unforgiving sub-zero conditions of the Arctic. The course forces participants to master critical skills in austere environments.

HOLIDAY HOURS:
In observance of the President’s Day Federal Holiday, Evans Army Community Hospital will be closed on Monday, Feb.16, 2026, with the exception of Inpatient and the Emergency Department. On Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, clinics will be open for previously scheduled appointments and routine services, except as noted below. As always, the Emergency Department and Inpatient will remain open 24/7.

• SCMH CLINICS: For Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, all SCMH clinic services will be consolidated at the Robinson Clinic, which will host a consolidated sick call at 7:30 a.m.
• PHARMACY: On Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, Main Outpatient Pharmacy will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the SFCC Pharmacy will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for refill prescription pick-up only. All other outpatient pharmacies will be closed.
• LABORATORY: The laboratory will be open on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• EMBEDDED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICS: Behavioral Health Services at Embedded Behavioral Health Clinic 2 and Child, Adolescent, Family, Behavioral Health will be consolidated to the Mountain Post Behavioral Health Clinic ( Multi-D) bldg. 1830 on Friday ,Feb. 13, 2026.
• DENTAL CLINICS: On Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, all dental clinics will be closed except Larson Dental Clinic, which will be open for dental emergencies and dental readiness needs. All dental clinics will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026.
