IMMUNIZATION AWARENESS MONTH
August is National Immunization Awareness Month! YOU have the power to protect against vaccine-preventable diseases. All pregnant women, children and adults should stay up to date on vaccinations. Vaccinating during pregnancy protects you and your baby from serious diseases like whooping cough and flu. Children need to be protected either as babies or as teenagers from the likes of meningitis, tetanus, flu, and more. Adults have the opportunity to continue to protect themselves in advancing age from pneumonia, flu and shingles. Vaccines are safe and effective at preventing serious diseases.

To find out more go to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and look at the vaccine schedules and best practices for you and your family, so you can make the best decision to protect yourselves. Link: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp/imz-schedules/index.html
