Today we are celebrating Pratiti! Learn more about her and what she is working on in music therapy. Scroll through to see her joy and hard work!

Pratiti is a true star in and out of music therapy! Her love for music is apparent; she always comes into the clinic with an abundance of creative ideas and a big smile on her face. In music therapy, Pratiti is working hard to find her voice for singing and self-expression using total communication strategies including sign/gestures, speech, and speech generative devices. She has impressed us with her sustained vocal phrases, confident articulation, and the extra magic she adds to every song she sings. Pratiti has blown us away with her strong breath control while playing the melodica and is always eager to tackle new challenges to prove others wrong. Pratiti can often be found in the jam room working on two-handed coordination with the drums or writing creative, original songs using her speech generating device. Pratiti continues to engage in music outside of sessions and loves to share videos of her playing instruments, especially her electronic drum set. The passion she brings to sessions fills the room with joy and great music!

We loved collaboration with CSU for our fifth annual music therapy student open house this week! Our three workshop topics sparked thoughtful discussion and meaningful new insights, and it was inspiring to see such curiosity and eagerness to learn from students and interns. Ending the night with a Q&A panel of music therapists, and a giveaway, made it even better. Thank you to everyone that came!

Students, you’re well on your way to becoming incredible clinicians!

Help us congratulate Arianna, our most recent music therapy intern, on completing her clinical internship this week!

Throughout her internship, Arianna completed multiple projects and a case study, and she also completed a DIR/Floortime training, applying that learning with several clients. She thoughtfully explored how this model looks different from person to person while gaining a strong understanding of how its principles can be applied across settings.

Arianna will leave a lasting mark here at ITNC through the many creative ideas she brought to our team and the meaningful memories we share.

We are excited to announce that she will be returning to CSU to complete her Master’s in Music Therapy. Congratulations, Arianna! And welcome to the professional world!

Please enjoy this featured video from our 2025 Summer Showcase Spectacular!

Every year, we feature a collaborative handbell performance in our Showcase, highlighting many of the incredible individuals we have the joy of working with here at ITNC. When we use handbells in sessions, we’re not just making music, we’re also working on skills like bimanual coordination, memory, motor planning, sequencing, problem solving, and so much more. This year, our handbell piece is all about spreading kindness and love through our rendition of “Put a Little Love in Your Heart.” We hope it brings a smile to your face and fills you with the same inspiration it gave us!

Our Virtual Summer Showcase Spectacular is a collaborative event sponsored by the We hope you will join us for our next one in June 2026!
