According to yin-yang principles of eating (such as in Macrobiotics and Traditional Chinese Medicine), eating to much animal food (yang) can lead to cravings for sweets (yin). Imbalances can also occur when you eat to little animal protein. Through experimentation and intuition, you can find which foods create balance for you as an individual.

#5. Get Physically active. Start with simple activities like walking and yoga. Start with 10 minutes a day and gradually increase ( only as you physically can). Remember there is many varying styles of yoga, even chair yoga for you to start with. Being active helps balance blood sugar levels, boosts energy, and reduce tension, decreasing the likelihood that you'll want to self-medicate with sugar.

This time of year this is hard but actually important because of the holidays rolling into each other we don't realise how quickly we put on the pounds or just start feeling yucky (not what you want during the holidays either). So here goes it; 10 TIPS FOR DEALING WITH SUGAR ADDICTION- #1. Reduce or eliminate caffeine. If your neurodivergent and need some caffeine in your days, just be careful of the type of caffeine you choose and you still don't want to go overboard and become anxious. The normal ups and downs of caffeine include dehydration and blood sugar swings, and may cause sugar cravings.
