Great turnout for our Vajrasattva Purification retreat this weekend! Perfect timing that both our TTP students and FP students have recently learned about the four opponent powers of purification and confession in their study of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s books Great Treasury of Merit and Universal Compassion, respectively. What a rare and precious opportunity to purify our negative karma since beginningless time. OM VAJRA SATTÖ SARWA SIDDHI HUM

We'll be looking at the subject of love versus desire in our Wednesday night meditation class during the month of February.

Buddha taught that love is the great protector. Both we ourselves and others are protected by love from harmful actions and suffering, and a loving heart inspires us to treat others with consideration and kindness. However, our love is often mixed with attachment, which makes us possessive, anxious and easily hurt.

Come explore Buddha’s wisdom teachings on how to discern the difference between the two and discover methods to weaken our attachment while strengthening our love.

Everyone welcome!

Harnessing the Power of Imagination

In his book Modern Buddhism, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso said:

“Ta**ra, also known as ‘Secret Mantra’ or ‘Vajrayana’, is a special method to purify our world, our self, our enjoyments and our activities; and if we put this method into practice we will attain enlightenment very quickly.”

Our imagination is more powerful than we realize. In reality, everything begins in the imagination. In his Ta***ic teachings, Buddha taught many practical methods for harnessing the power of our imagination for personal growth and transformation. Although the term Ta**ra is very popular these days, many people misunderstand its real meaning and it is often misused.

In Buddhism, Ta**ra is a very special practice that harnesses the power of our imagination and the power of Buddha’s blessings to quickly heal our mental continuum and leads us to a state of permanent peace and happiness. Through practicing Ta**ra we can transform our world, our self, our enjoyments and our activities into those of an enlightened being.

Everyone welcome!

SAVE THE DATE! Friday, May 15, 2026

Gen Kelsang Gomlam, the NKT-IKBU US Western National Spiritual Director and Resident Teacher of KMC Colorado in Denver will be coming up north to give a public talk in downtown Fort Collins titled "Beyond Fear." The talk will take place in the 100-seat Bas Bleu Theater on Friday, May 15, from 7-8:30pm.

In truth, fear arises from our mind, not from our environment. The fear and the anxiety that so many experience is not inevitable. If we come to recognize their underlying sources, we can learn to change our relationship to them. Through the practice of meditation, we can learn to work skillfully with our fear. Instead of allowing it to overwhelm us, we learn to redirect the fear and anxiety, so that it moves us towards developing states of mind that naturally give rise to peace, confidence and a strong sense of purpose.

Everyone is welcome to this public talk. Come enjoy a meaningful and delightful night out on the town!

Reserve your spot now by registering on the Heruka KMC website at https://meditateinfortcollins.org ...
$20 general admission, $10 for students
