Compression is often recommended for POTS — but not all compression has the same benefits.

Compression can help reduce standing heart rate by limiting blood pooling. When different approaches are compared, compression that includes the abdomen (abdominal + waist-high or abdominal only) shows the most consistent benefit on average.

Finding compression that works for you often means choosing materials that meet your sensory needs, wearing it at times that feel most supportive, and allowing it to fit into your daily life.

A follow-up reel will cover joint-friendly ways to put compression on.

Cooking can take a lot of energy, especially with POTS, EDS, or MCAS.

Standing, heat, repetitive movements, and cleanup can add up quickly. When those parts feel exhausting, they can offer information about what may need more support. Sometimes adapting the task can offer more support than pushing through.

Small changes like sitting, pacing tasks, using supportive tools, or choosing lower-effort meals may help reduce crashes and symptom flares.

There isn’t one right way to cook. What works for you can look different day to day, and it can change over time.

If cooking feels like a lot, you’re not alone.
You’re welcome to save this for days when cooking feels harder💛
