I’m a mom, an army wife, a taxi driver, a nurse, a chef, a referee, the list could go on. I’ll stop what I am doing to open fruit snacks, to tie someone’s shoe, to wipe a nose, or rub my husbands back, but when it comes time to do something for myself, I instantly feel guilty. 💕

Am I alone in this?

I was talking to my mentor today about goals, and though I have really big ones, she stopped me today and said “Ashley, these goals are great, and they will happen, but when was the last time you fed your mind? When was the last time you did something for yourself?” It really got me thinking, I’ve been so caught up in the roles, I lost site of myself, I lost site of my self care, which is one of the biggest things that will trigger my anxiety…

My best days are when I fill my cup.
My best days are when I take care of my mind.
My best days are when I take care of my body
My best days are when I fuel myself with the right foods, enough water.

I had a season in my life when I was on top of ALL of that, and that’s what I need right now, to get back to the things that help me feel invincible. 💕

When was the last time you stopped to give yourself a high five?
When was the last time you stopped to take a five minute rest?
When was the last time you said NO so you could do something for YOU?

I’m going back to the ways that helped me feel like me, I’m going back to the tools that helped me OVERCOME my anxiety, and leaning on my support every single day. I have an amazing family, but the support from my coach, from my team, from the daily accountability, that’s how I’m going to get back, that’s how I’m going to get the tools I need to change my life, and before you know it; I’ll be able to tell you my favorite color and my birthday before going through everyone else’s. 💕
