Thanks to Recruit Training Regiment's Company M, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C. and our Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP) partners for coming together this weekend to supply lifesaving blood products to our service members in need!

Nearly 250 new Marines and their cadre joined blood collection staff from 5 ASBP donor centers, Fort Gordon Blood Center, Sullivan Memorial Blood Center at Ft. Benning, Fort Leonard Wood Blood Donor Center, Ft. Bliss Blood Donor Center Armed Services Blood Program at Fort Bliss and Armed Services Blood Bank Center - Pacific Northwest . Blood supplies are typically low during the holidays, so this blood drive was truly a lifesaving effort!

In the aftermath of an active shooter Aug. 6 at Fort Stewart’s 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, five Soldiers were left wounded, putting Winn Army Community Hospital’s critical health care response to the test.

A coordinated flow of information and patient movement guided every step of the incident response.
