Fyi fellow South Floridians, my office will be open tomorrow, April 10, from approximately 10 am to 1 pm, to deal with any dental emergencies. No reason to wait until your dentist is back open or to be in pain.

But we must communicate either by email or phone call first, as we are exerting a higher standard of health care rules like social distancing etc in the office.

Well, it's done! ( I believe). We can teledent (is that a word?) via the following page if you have a tooth that is giving you an ouchie or a dental swelling that is concerning you, and we can consult without physically having to be in the office together. You know, that whole social distancing thing.....

On a lighter note, (and Blessed Palm Sunday for those that partake), several have asked me if the photo above is part of my modern dental equipment. NO! That was a pic of an old, 1920's(?) dental chair and equipment that I found in an old, used bookstore in Asheville, NC. Super cool, right?

Our equipment and techniques are quite a bit newer, like about 100 years! Have a wonderful Sunday and be safe!

I don't wish to run afoul of copyright and that is not my intention, but I came across this page that showed COVID19 and the surfaces it can live on. This was courtesy of WebMD.

I know we are starting to get a little stir crazy from being inside, but, take this time to do your inside chores, and when you go out right now, ESPECIALLY to any store, or anywhere inside, you must wear a mask or protective covering, until we are over the peak. BE PATIENT and be informed!

Good afternoon all, just a reminder that as we all need
to hopefully be "hunkering down" for now, in order to protect ourselves. I will be monitoring phone messages and emails as this week we are seeing patients on an urgent and emergency basis.

I hope that I am wrong but Florida perhaps has not seen the worse of it yet, so err on the side of caution and minimize your social interactions for now! I want to see your smiling faces again real soon, and we will pick up where we've left off. We are strong, resilient, and we will get through this together, if we are kind, patient, and work together. Be safe! Dr. Al

My heart breaks for the people of the Bahamas. We will be collecting food goods, water, medical and health care goods, for these poor families. Any amount will help. Please call 954 564 0181 if you need more info, or stop by Bove Dental, 2500 E Oakland Park Blvd, Ft. Lauderdale to drop off what you can. And please keep these people in your prayers..
