How Stress Affects the Gut

1️⃣ You can’t heal your gut in a body that still feels unsafe.

2️⃣ If your gut healing keeps stalling… it might not be about food at all.

3️⃣ Your bloating might not just be from what you eat — it might be from what your body remembers.

Ever notice how your stomach tightens when you’re stressed?

That’s not random — that’s your gut-brain axis talking.

When we go through stress— big or small — the nervous system often gets stuck in survival mode.

Digestion slows.
Inflammation rises.
The microbiome shifts.

It may be a low cooper issue……Signs copper might be part of the issue
• Low ferritin that doesn’t rise with iron
• Fatigue or exercise intolerance

But your ferritin still won’t move. 😩

Here’s what most people (and even some practitioners) miss:

👉 A sneaky stomach bacteria called H. pylori can block your ability to absorb iron.

If you’ve been reacting to everything lately — even your healthy foods — there’s a good chance histamine has something to do with it.

Histamine isn’t the enemy.
It’s your body’s messenger.
It helps you digest, fight infections, and regulate hormones.
But when your system is overloaded — from stress, gut issues, poor sleep, or even hormonal shifts — histamine builds up faster than your body can clear it.

That’s when the random symptoms start showing up:
🥴 Bloating or nausea after meals
😣 Itchy skin, flushing, or headaches
🧠 Anxiety or brain fog that comes out of nowhere

This test revealed that my client has both an active systemic candida infection and H. pylori. Most people have heard of candida, but H. pylori is a bacteria that burrows into the stomach lining, disrupting digestion and triggering a wide range of problems. In her case, it’s one of the main reasons her iron and ferritin are so depleted.

Because her gut’s immune defenses are essentially wiped out, we’ll need to move carefully—eradicating these infections in the correct order so we don’t cause more harm than good. This is why I always explain that simply taking more iron isn’t the solution. If the body isn’t in a place to absorb it, you’re only addressing the symptom, not the root cause.

It’s so important to work with someone who understands how to sequence and time protocols for pathogens like these. Doing it the right way allows the body to rebuild, restore balance, and actually begin absorbing nutrients again

✨ So many women in their early 20s come to me frustrated because they just can’t get rid of their acne.

They’ve tried it all:
➡️ Random supplements they found online (some of which actually worsen hormone balance)
➡️ Creams and topical treatments that only mask the problem
➡️ Probiotics they hoped would “fix” their gut

But here’s the truth 👉 acne is rarely solved with a quick fix.

SHE HAD THE HORMONES OF A MENOPAUSAL WOMAN AT 22!!!!

We ran a comprehensive lab panel for my client — she was eating “healthy,” but not eating enough. Everything pointed to being malnourished.

Her results told the story:
🩸 Low iron + almost nonexistent ferritin
🩸 Poor iron transport
🩸 Hormones running down a harsh pathway causing acne

Women… we’ve been taught to diet, restrict, and shrink — but not to nourish. When we under-eat, every single system of the body suffers.

Instead we focused on:
🌱 Eating more — adding nutrient-dense, diverse foods and education about nutrition and how it relates to what our body needs to function.
