Whether you’re a client, friend or follower, THANK YOU for being here and thank you for helping to make CEC what it is today.

Behind the scenes, 2025 was nothing but utter heartbreak and one of the most difficult years of my life but, the show still had to go on. And so I did it.

Looking forward to all the beauties I will get to work with in 2026. Wishing everyone a happy and healing new year.

Last horse before a little break for Christmas. 🎄

🗓️ A few more to do here over the weekend then back to east coast to wrap up that side before the new year. First three weeks of January are full so, if you’re needing to get on the schedule— let me know soon!

♥️ Zeke was an AMAZING model today and he posed so perfectly. He also has this new thing where he seems to really prefer being clipped in his stall. Last time I was forced to work on him in there due to high winds and he was super chill about it. He’s not ever a naughty pony on crossties but, he was just a lot more relaxed in his stall so, I did that again today and he was quite happy.

❤️‍🔥 He’s such a good guy and always looks so gorgeous after his clippy.

Blu is always SO shiny after his clip and I love it.

🤷🏻‍♀️ Sometimes we can get his face, sometimes we can’t. Today was one of those “don’t push the envelope” type of days.

👉🏻 Why I don’t press the matter:

🎓 This is a horse who has graduated out of sedation and no longer needs it to be clipped. It took over the course of a year to make that happen and he’s totally fine with it now. If he’s not into having his face messed with on any given day— that’s fine by me. I’ll take it, considering where he and I started on day 1.

💙 There’s nothing that makes me twitch more than getting to a point of no return and not being able to complete the clip. At least by leaving his face alone or putting him into a half face (on a good day) he still looks “complete”.

Sometimes, there’s only so much I can do to repair an oopsy daisy clip.

🌼 In this case, this is one of the more challenging oopsy clips to even try to make it look better as a 40 (surgical) blade was taken to a pink skinned horse.

🏥 To preface this— I’m letting this one slide as our sweet girl here spent the night in the hospital the other night for colic. One of the first steps in a colic workup involves an abdominal ultrasound so that is why her flanks are clipped.

🪢 Keep in mind now, this horse has the tightest, most dense cushings coat probably ever and it is a challenge to get through even on a good day (she’s clipped every 4-5 weeks!). While she was being worked up, it looks like their regular blades had major trouble getting through her coat and during the crunch time of quickly needing to find a diagnosis— they pulled out the 40 blade as that was the only thing that would get through her coat in that moment. It got through alright. 🫡

😬 Normally, I would scold anyone who takes a surgical blade to pink skin (or any skin) that’s not having surgery but, this was an extenuating circumstance & thankfully, this sweet girl got to come home the next day & is feeling back to herself.

✂️ I did my very best to clip everything around the rough areas evenly. Once the bulk of the surrounding coat was off, I went back in with a 5-in-1 blade to blend the borders & bits of hair in the middle to reduce the sharpness of the length difference. The goal was to give it a softer appearance and allow her regrowth to also come in softer.

🌱 Not everything is fixable & they had to do what they had to do to help the horse. The beauty of it all is that it’s hair and hair grows back. And, Sueño’s coat grows quite rapidly so when she’s due for her next clip in a month, I expect everything to be caught up. Until then, I’ve advised her Mom to keep the pink area covered with zinc oxide to protect against sunburn as that’s really the only actual concern out of this. Not a big deal!

🙏🏻 We are thankful this girl is feeling better and that she was able to come home from the hospital so quickly.

😎 Better go get your sunglasses because you’re going to need them to look at this gorgeous mare!

🍭 Lena’s mom wasn’t totally sure of her history with clipping so she wanted to keep the session short and sweet for her. A traditional hunter clip was requested and what I uncovered was quite literally sparkling.

📈 The natural shine on her was off the charts.

✂️ Lena was clipped with the KMC+ and I gave her some extra gloss with Shiny by just because you can NEVER have enough shine! 🤩

♥️ She was such a perfect girl to work with.

🌟 Mr. Rydell was one of the lovelies I got to work with this weekend. He is such a gentleman and I’m so glad to see his coat thriving after his momma made some adjustments. This is my second time clipping him and I really noticed a tremendous difference in his skin and coat!

✂️ Rydell was clipped with the KM Velocity and polished up with Shiny by to enhance his gorgeous shine.

🩵 This guy is always such a pleasure to work with!

Bleu 💙

🌟 The most handsome blue roany pony boy.

💁🏻‍♀️Roans are my fave, for obvious reasons— their color change and the fact that they are so unique.

✂️ I used my KMC+ on Mr. Bleu and got him all fancied up afterwards with Shiny by .

💯 I think it’s safe to say he’s feeling a whole lot better now.

🚨 Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you already know about the recent EHV-1/EHM outbreak originating in Texas.

I’m not here to tell you all what you should or shouldn’t do but I am going to tell you what I’m going to do, as I run a mobile service-based business.

To start, please remember that I have spent several years working in equine hospitals and was an equine vet tech for most of those years. I am no stranger to biosecurity and I keep those measures rather tight on the regular.

ALL of my equipment gets disinfected with medical grade disinfectant after each use. At the end of the day, my blades get dismantled, disinfected again, put back together and stored for the next day. My clippers themselves are also wiped down with Clorox daily. **This is all regular biosecurity practice.**

As an added measure while this outbreak is active, my footwear will be disinfected before and after each barn and I will be doing my best to consolidate horses to lessen my trips to multiple barns but will bring multiple pairs of clothes with me on the days where I need to travel around more. I will also be adding alcohol into my disinfecting routine for my equipment.

I will be reaching out individually for those who are at higher traffic barns to assess each appointment that is currently scheduled.

Your horse’s health and well-being is my utmost priority. If you are currently scheduled with me and have any concerns regarding your upcoming appointment, please reach out to me ASAP.

Mr. Laddie 🤍

🪩 This boy turned out SO shiny after his clip, we nearly needed sunglasses on to look at him outside!

✂️ Laddie enjoyed a full clip today and had a saddle patch left as he’s a delicate flower of a boy. I used my KMC+ and polished him up with Shiny by and holy heck did his shine factor fly off the charts.

🤗 This kid is full of personality and it’s always a fun time getting to work with him.

💛 This job is so much more than just showing up to cut some hair and leave. Every single horse gets the same attention to detail and I’ll always speak up if I find something that’s not quite right.

🚫 We knew from day one about Rambo that he was an excellent little dude but the last time he was clipped, he was having a rather strong disagreement when I tried clipping towards his ventral abdomen and towards his sheath. He was cow kicking, spinning around and was vehemently saying “NO!” when I would attempt to clip these areas. I said okay kiddo, I hear you loud and clear. So, he was left with fluffy undercarriage at our last visit.

🕵🏻‍♀️ I will always try my best to figure out why a horse has such a sudden change in character when I’m working with them. This behavior was not like him whatsoever but, I put some pieces together and came up with the high suspicion that he must have had a bean that needed to be removed and he was going to need sedation in order to fully examine him and extract it. His mom got right on that, scheduled the vet out asap and he did in fact have a pretty large bean that was causing him great discomfort.

💯 Today, when I returned to clip him again, he was back to his usual chill self, never lifting a leg at me and I was able to get him fully clipped as planned.

⭐️ Moral of the story is that horses don’t act out for no reason. There is usually a very good reason behind less than desirable behaviors and they really are just doing their darnest to tell us something is up.

🙋🏻‍♀️ It’s up to us to take the hint!

The sweetest little Dragonfly. 🌸

I wish I would have taken a before picture of her because she was quite the ball of floof but, she’s looking so sleek and shiny now and feeling so much nicer after her clippy.

Dragonfly enjoyed a full clip along with a mane tidy (and forelock repair…. 😏IYKYK).

I am REALLY loving how shiny she is!

About Us

Centerline Equine Clipping was established to help horses and ponies of all occupations to look and feel their best in south Florida. Whether your horse is a retiree, barrel racer, show or trail horse, they can all benefit from being body clipped year-round in the sunshine state.

Originally from Long Island, New York, the continuous heat in Florida was a challenge for my draft cross gelding who grew a natural thick coat for the winter season. Finding someone to clip him so frequently was a challenge therefore, Centerline Equine Clipping was founded. I offer body clipping services by appointment only, at an affordable rate so that more horses can be kept cool, comfortable and looking their best for the show ring at any time of the year. Services can be extended to those in Long Island as well, as I travel there often, excluding the months of January through April.

Whether you’re scheduling an appointment for your horse’s first clip or for your seasoned show horse, it is my goal to provide a positive clipping experience for them. With an eye for detail, you can be assured that your horse will look incredible and feel refreshed. Send a message to the page to contact me with your request and to set up an appointment. I look forward to working with you and your horse!
