Letβs talk about the raw and real moments that can arise at the end of pregnancyβ¦
High blood pressure.
Decreased placental function.
Preeclampsia.
IUGR.
Decreased fetal movements.
Low/high amniotic fluid.
Cord compression.
PROM.
These are not the plans we make but sometimes, they become part of the journey.
I hold a deep belief that our babies have a way of communicating when they are ready to be born. Most often, that comes through spontaneous labor. Other times, it comes through circumstances like these; situations that call for closer monitoring, medical guidance, and sometimes intervention.
When this shift happens, when a pregnancy moves from low-risk into the unknown it can feel overwhelming, frightening, and even deeply disappointing.
This is where I step in, gently and intentionally.
I walk hand in hand with my families, offering evidence-based, trusted information so they can make informed decisions with confidence, not fear. I help create space for processing, for questions, and for peace in the midst of uncertainty.
Because while birth can be unpredictableβ¦
support should be the guiding light in the storm.
Choosing the right care team matters. Especially when things donβt unfold the way you hoped. Having someone by your side who sees you, hears you, and supports you without judgment can make all the difference in how you experience your birth.
Holding every mama who has walked this path
with tenderness, compassion, and love.
