All classes are a combination of meditation, breath techniques and asanas (postures). I am passionate about sharing all the benefits that Yoga has to offer to all age groups. Classes will include:

Yoga Wisdom thought for today...
Balance Your Head and Your Heart

Your heart and your head are not always in agreement with each other. Sometimes your heart may powerfully desire something that your head knows is not good for you. At other times, your head may take over excessively, filling you with mental chatter and blocking out the voice of your heart. the trick is to balance your head and heart as much as possible so that you hear both. Today, take a moment to ask yourself these two questions: What is my heart's desire right now? What is my mind telling me about this? Then, see if you can join the wisdom of your mind and heart, finding some sort of middle ground between what you desire and what you think you should or should not desire in order to gain perspective and to find balance.

Expand Your Awareness

Padma Mudra (pahd-mah MOO-drah) Lotus Mudra

Connect the base of your palms in front of your heart, flaring out your fingers as if you were holding a ball, between your hands. Your palms and the rest of your fingers form what looks like an open vessel or blossoming flower. This hand gesture is Padma Mudra. Padma is the Sanskrit word for lotus. The lotus represents consciousness, its plentiful petals unfolding one by one, demonstrating how your awareness of yourself and of the unvierse can expand endlessly. Deities are often depicted sitting or standing on lotus blossoms, indicating different experiences you can have when you open to receive what the universe is offering you.
