All classes are a combination of meditation, breath techniques and asanas (postures). I am passionate about sharing all the benefits that Yoga has to offer to all age groups. Classes will include:

Wisdom for the day....

Set an Intention for your Yoga Practice

Setting an intention for your yoga practice can be as simple as dedicating your practice to someone or to something greater than yourself. Through the process, you honor that person or cause. Your intention creates a point of reference to which you return repeatedly as you move, keeping you centered, focused, and aligned with the subject of your intention. Much as we make a toast to celebrate someone, or make a donation in someone else's name, setting an intention is an act of honoring, whether it be a person who has impacted your life positively or a cause such as world peace. The act of setting an intention connects you to the greater world. It makes your yoga practice bigger and more meaningful. It honors both the subject of your intention and you for having offered it.

Join us tomorrow morning(9/12) at 9:00 AM EST. for Yin Yoga for All Levels.
A 30 Minute Yin Yoga practice that includes a peaceful meditation/setting an intention, warm up stretches, then easing into the asanas (postures) that will be held for 3-5 minutes on each side. Focusing on flexibility and relaxation by targeting the fascia- also known as connective tissue- around the joints: mainly the knees, pelvis, sacrum and spine. 5-7 minutes of peaceful relaxation (Savasana) to close the class. All are welcome. (Tiered Donation). Yin Sequence changes every Friday.

Good morning yoga friends. Wednesday's inspiration and meditation.
If your emotions or thoughts are still fluttering from the recent Lunar Eclipse, try a simple meditation or find a quiet space to listen and enjoy your breath, reset.

Meditate to Unclutter your Mind

When we feel bombarded by our thoughts, we can unclutter our minds by practicing a simple meditation. The next time you feel bombarded, sit and close your eyes. Notice the thoughts that enter your mind. Instead of engaging with each thought-analyzing it, creating associations, and letting feelings arise around it-remain detached from the thought and observe it as it floats by. Do this with each thought that enters your mind, giving it a little nod of acknowledgment and allowing it to drift along. Today, try this several times, and notice how the process offers you a calmer, less cluttered mind.

Release the day and ease into your evening with this 30 Minute gentle, grounding yoga class designed to calm the nervous system and relax the body. Through slow, mindful movement, deep stretches, and focused breathwork, you’ll melt away tension, quiet the mind, and create space for restful sleep.
Perfect for all levels, this class combines elements of Hatha, Yin, and restorative yoga to help you transition from the busyness of the day into a state of peace and presence. Leave feeling centered, stretched, and serene. All are welcome!

Reflection...

Community Matters

We are social beings. We are more engaged with the world when we can regularly share the company of others. And we especially benefit from being around people who both elevate us and keep us real. The Sanskrit word for a community that we choose to join is kula (KOO-lah). The term is often applied to a yoga community, but we can use it to refer to any community formed through shared experience or particular interests. In a kula, we surround ourselves with people who respect our ideas and support our dreams, people who affirm us but also can offer suggestions and constructive criticism. To be a member of a community means to give and to receive respectful truth and encouragement.
