I drew last year during my reflection and intention setting practice of years past. I was visualizing our new addition.

I am now currently sitting in this “seating area” as I called it in the photo I drew above.

As you can see from the photo, I literally drew…
Two chairs-check (sitting in one now).
8’ slider- check
Round jute rug- check.
A little round table/bookcase written on the drawing- check

The best part, looking outside at our backyard I drew in the slider window. I drew trees and sunshine coming through the window.

I have grown to appreciate our yard even more from this viewpoint. From the last days of 2025 and the first days of 2026 we have been greeted by herds of deer hanging out in our yard. I have been able to sit with my tea and just observe their magic. The most I have ever been able to just watch and be with a deer. 🦌

All of this I drew a year ago, BEFORE we even got a loan for the addition or dug a hole that we started in April. We had an idea and dream. That to be honest we talked about doing this addition before I was even pregnant with Kallie, so 3+ years ago.

I really do believe in the power of dreaming and manifestation. I think it can be hard for ourselves to go there. To dream big. To think we are deserving and worthy of wanting something. I think so much of it is a practice of trust. ✨
✨I trusted in our dream.
✨I trusted it would work out.

It just took us a some time to get there and that is ok. I think that is the thing with much of manifestation. We can visualize and see it, we just don’t know the time line.

This past year has been a BIG year for our family as we built an addition by ourselves, with our friends and family helping a lot, balancing our family time, cooking in the basement, being open to adding another team member to our team and having an early miscarriage.

This year had a lot of ups and downs and stressful times. Also many moments of abundance.  Which was my word for last year when I did the intention setting practice.

For this year, 2026, as I moved through the intention setting practice, the word I want to embody is grounded. Another word that comes to mind is rooted🌲 (more ⬇️)

A personal raw and vulnerable share ✨

I had an early miscarriage.

I know these are very common and all animals (we are animals) can go through them, but of course when you are in it, it is still hard and sad.

This happened back around Thanksgiving. I had this drafted for some time and wanted to share when I felt the time was right. First with my lovely newsletter community, and now here.

I have really been leaning into trust.

Trusting the innate healing in my body, trusting in this souls timing to join us earth side, trusting in all of this is going to play out exactly how it is meant to- in divine timing.

I have been leaning on my husband Collin for support, my family, my friends who have experienced this before, my doula, my coach, and in divine timing I had an already scheduled therapy and natural path appointment which got to support me even more during this time. ✨

I cried in yoga in half pigeon the most I have cried in yoga in a long time.  I let myself go into the feeling.  I cried even more when I brought my knees to my chest giving myself a hug.

You know that feeling when you hug a loved one and feel safe to just let it all out- I got to be that person for myself ❤️

So why am I sharing something so raw and vulnerable?

Because this is life.
✨This is the human experience.

✨Women should share their vulnerable stories and not keep them inside.

✨We are not meant to do it alone.

✨We are meant to share our stories, be supported by and loved by others when we could use it.

✨We need to remember we are never alone.

✨You are never alone.

In addition to leaning on my family and friends, going inward with my body slowing down and giving myself the time and space it needs to heal has been a priority.

I have been listening to reiki healing meditations, feeling the sadness, the grief, the fear, the hope, the trust, and giving myself reiki to my heart and womb space. I journaled, I booked myself some energy work to give love to my nervous system- a massage and a flote session to be still and really connect to my body.

I have been letting go of some fear stories about my next postpartum, which is out of my control.
