Working on hand strengthening using therapy putty and hidden stones!

By hiding small stones inside the putty, we turn strengthening into a fun, play-based challenge. As children squeeze, pull, and dig the stones out, they’re building grip strength, finger isolation, coordination, and hand endurance. All essential skills for successful handwriting.

Strong hands support better pencil control, improved pressure regulation, and increased writing confidence. Play may look simple, but the skills behind it are powertul

Digging into sensory fun today!

We used sand, a shovel, and toy cars to work on so many important skills.

Scooping and pouring for hand strength, burying and unburying cars, and lots of tactile input to support sensory regulation.
This kind of play helps build fine motor control, bilateral coordination, and imaginative thinking, all while feeling like just pure fun.

In pediatric therapy, we’re always learning through play... and sometimes that means getting a little sandy!

It’s tiny hands working together.
