Let’s talk about the upfront but possibly neglected muscle !💪 The Sternocleodomastoid. ( SCM)

A trained medical massage therapist taught me how to massage this bad boy. A nice squeeze at the attachment and origin and right in the belly of the muscle! If it’s tight you will def feel it! In the pictures I circled what the muscle looks when you rotate your head. Be careful the carotid artery is chilling under the SCM muscle. Thats why we give it a good squeeze!

“The sternocleidomastoid (SCM) muscle is a long, thick pair of muscles located on either side of the neck, running from the collarbone and breastbone to the back of the head. It's the largest muscle in the front of the neck and is easily felt under the skin. Functions:

Head movement: Rotates the head side-to-side, tilts the head towards the shoulder, and turns the face to the opposite side

Neck movement: Bends the neck forward and flexes the cervical vertebral column

Breathing: Assists with breathing and respiration. “

About 3:30 this morning I received a call from this number.
I answered just in case (could be an Emergency for someone I know)
This man was chuckling and wanted a massage.
I said he has the WRONG number.
He did that irritated chuckle and hung up.
Without accusing . However, wisdom shows it’s obvious what he was wanting.
Let me please remind folks. ( everyone on this page doesn’t need the reminder. However, if you have friends who don’t know ..)
True professionals DO NOT give happy endings. It’s ILLEGAL. And at least with me, it will be reported.
Stay safe you guys.
Admittedly, I’m very irritated and freaked out.
I’ve been sick and just fell asleep at 2:00 AM. Just to be woke up by someone who is most likely and eventually be in a lot of trouble with the choices he makes.

🎶 “Movin on up . Movin on up 🎶
I love massaging the attachments of these!!
The levator scapulae are two large, superficial muscles in the upper back and neck that run along either side of the spine. Their primary function is to RAISE the shoulder blades, or scapulae. The word "levator" comes from Latin and means "to raise".

If you’ve got 99 problems, don’t let your psoas be 1!!!!

When the psoas muscle is tight or contracted, it can pull on the lumbar spine, causing lower back pain. This is especially common in people who sit for long periods of time, such as office workers and drivers. Tight psoas muscles can also contribute to chronic lower back pain. Massage can help !!

Just walked out of Downtown Corner Market on 10th and Garrison. It is absolutely the cutest shop! I wanted to purchase a lot! They had baskets, cook books, cookies, some produce and a ton more. I ended up leaving with some Oolong tea and Bergamot essential oil !!!!
